Top Five Astro-Events for April
1. Saturn turns direct (April 5) - a good time to initiate long-range plans, put creative projects into form, and take responsibility for one's talents and limitations. In geopolitics, leaders assume authority with the assurance of a divine mandate. Saturn is in the U.S. Ninth House indicting practical changes in foreign policy.
2. Mars opposite Pluto (April 8) - creates a political and military atmosphere of extreme confrontation, and is in effect from April 1 through mid-month, but is especially potent and explosive April 5-8. The dangerous intensity of this aspect may also create an awareness of potential devastation that brings enemies to the bargaining table.
3. Full Moon on Apr 13 (12:39 EDT) - takes place at 23?36' in the Aries-Libra polarity, and features the me-first, I-know-best attitude versus the willingness to compromise for peace. This Full Moon hits vital midpoints in the U.S. horoscope (Moon/Mars, Ceres/Uranus), and indicates troublesome developments in the military, especially in Iraq. Contrarily, it may point to enemy factions coming together.
4. Transiting Uranus trines the U.S. Sun (April 17) - brings plenty of ceremony to the White House. Important international events are shaping up, since transiting Jupiter squares the U.S. Midheaven at the same time. Watch for historical decisions, meetings, and turning points in politics, science, and business. Concurrent Jupiter and Uranus astro-events can bring sudden success.
5. Ceres conjunct Neptune (April 28) - effective from mid-April through May 1. Watch for the passing of favorite Americans, severe weather events, and other developments that bring a sense of loss and grief. On the plus side, Ceres-Neptune favors the fine arts: develop your own talent in design, dance, art, and music, and watch for spectacular staged events, such as American Idol.
