Saturn transiting personal planets and its more challenging angles were always traditionally written about as "break up" or "divorce" aspects.
Through years of observation and experience, I more often describe these transits as compatibility tests. In circumstances of incompatability, yup the union generally dissolves. Though in circumstances of compatibility the relationships deepens and is strengthened.
Basically Saturn always brings opportunities for reassessment/re-evaluation. It poses the question. . ."Do you really feel like committing yourself to this relationship for another 7 (or in the case of the conjunction 28-9) years ?"
LOL Back in the early 90's I remember hearing of a bunch of divorce lawyers in CA who thought they were creating a lot of wicked karma for themselves by virtue, or lack thereof, of their chosen profession. So they set up a service of giving couples the opportunity to make lists of what is working and what is not. They'd tweek peoples' marriage contracts on an annual basis for big bucks.
". . .Love, honor, and cherish. . ." doesn't exactly precisely cover who takes out the trash, parks in the wrong place, doesn't put the toothpaste cap back on, spends to much time online, etc. which is the kind of petty stuff that can drive people nuts.
In light of the Saturn cycle this sort of evaluation is probably appropriate every 7 years but people don't really need pricey lawyers for it.
