The pope is a clearly an unequivical moron. Too bad 'cause at least the last one had relatively good vibes, though I disagreed with several of his policies. The pResident is even far worse and totally deranged. I wonder what sort of world I've brought my kid into. I fear for his safety and that of all his friends and don't want any of them to be drafted. I'm not at all accustomed to living in fear.

This attempt at legalizing sadism's entry into the national dialogue has me shocked and deeply annoyed and even further appalled. That we're even discussing it bothers me deeply.

These so self described "family values" folks think torture should be okay.

It sickens me. Where is the humanity in all of it?

I read stuff here that is often defeatist. I read stuff elsewhere that assures us that we will be miraculously rescued. I go back and forth between the two extremes. It's mind boggling really.

Perhaps the truth lies in the middle between human volition, intention, and divine intervention.

That's what I like to think anyway.

On a spiritual note: middle is a nice goal. I strive for balance. But when maniacs purposefully and repeatedly take things way beyond balance, I'm afraid they will not end up in the middle.

How I have longed for the days of our imperfect leader, Bill Clinton. He did not do everything we could hope for, and in fact hurt many. But he had a sense of comforting balance. Since dimwit got the throne, he has been swinging it more and more every gd day to the right. I believe you are correct. It won't last. There is no WAY the Universe can stand such imbalance.
