I could really REALLY use prayers, positive thoughts, white light.
I am in danger of losing my job, and I don't want that to happen. I have been messing up at work, primarily because of my home situation. I have come to the conclusion that I need to end my marriage, but in the months leading up to this decision (and no, I have not told my husband yet), my energies have been scattered, and my performance on my job has suffered because of it. I had a meeting last Monday with our two QC managers, and told them what was going on with me. They completely understood -- they are very open to the kinds of things we talk about on this forum. However, they also have their jobs to do, and all of us know that I still need to get it together more where work is concerned. That meeting WAS a turning point, in that my productivity and effectiveness went up dramatically over the rest of the week. However, I am still dealing with the fallout from the last few months where things were not going so well in the work world. I feel a bit like the Peanuts character Pig Pen, with the fallout around me like the cloud of dirt that follows Pig Pen around. I have a phone meeting with the second in charge at the company on Thursday afternoon, and I am trying to not go into panic mode, because THAT also would scatter my energies and lead to ineffectiveness.

So, I am asking for all the positive energy I can get. I don't want to lose my job. Thanks very much.

3. Anything for you, friend...
 I'm just so sorry to hear this is all affecting you this way. I recall reading your post some time ago, about your marriage and a friend. I read it quite a bit after your posted it, and didn't want to dredge up something that may not have been an issue for you any longer---so I didn't respond.

It's so difficult to compartmentalize our lives. Society teaches us that we can and should, but I don't believe that we are designed this way. If one aspect of our lives is out of whack (so to speak), it tends to bleed into other areas. In that sense, your Pigpen from Peanuts description is so fitting.

I'm glad to hear that the people that you work with are understanding and you've been able to "pull it together" to a degree and achieve your goals in regard to work. I'll send you all the good vibes and feelings I can muster.

Please do be gentle with yourself during this time, Seattle Girl.:pals:

be well,
bliss

4. You are so sweet, bliss
I feel a little better right now, mostly because I finally gave in and had a Class A crying jag. I had tried all day to keep it together, but that was probably not the right thing for me to do.

And I appreciate your kindness very much.

9. Crying can be so cleansing to your spirit. Maybe that dirt cloud is gone,
at least for a while? Take care of yourself. I've been there and at times, all you can do is try to keep focus on those things which give you strength. Your job is your independence, so try to put the fire you're feeling into it. I hope that makes sense.

12. That does make sense.
The really ironic thing is, after meeting with the two QC managers last Monday, I really DID feel a lot better. I get paid by the billable hour, and my billing per-day shot up significantly. I made apppoints, phone calls, etc., and by the end of the week, was feeling very good. I knew I was still not out of the woods, but still, I felt more focused toward work than I had in quite some time. So today, when I got this email from my immediate supervisor, focused only on things I had not done (and there weren't that many), and telling me about the phone conference with the second-in-command, it felt like a punch in the gut. So yes, the tears were probably a good thing (it does seem a lot less dusty around me!). And I will also focus on continuing to increase productivity at work, and pray that I have a good conversation on Thursday.

15. I'll be thinking about you tomorrow! Keep your focus, and this
might be a good time to ponder the Four Agreements. The main one I have trouble with is Don't Take Anything Personally, and since the only one walking your path is you (and your spirit support!) consider that your immediate supervisor is mostly focused on his/her self. Not in a bad way, but just the way we all are. It's hard, but that bit of detachment may help you during this extremely vulnerable time. (I'm posting the others in case you haven't seen them, but really am just thinking of #2.) Also, try asking your angels for support...it really works.

1. Be Impeccable With Your Word
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

2. Don't Take Anything Personally
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.

3. Don't Make Assumptions
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

4. Always Do Your Best
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.

5. You got it
First thing tho........get rid of that "cloud of dirt" that you're visualizing around yourself! Others will "see" (and hear) it, too.
Take each day as it comes. Be kind to yourself, you'll be ok.
and I'll send many good thoughts to you as "backup". Best of luck on Thursday!:hi:

7. Oh my, you're right!
I have an affirmation I read/say several times a day. Perhaps I should say it a few more times, AND visualize protective, healing white light around myself.

And I think I'll go take a look at my mask -- that always makes me feel good. :hi:

16. Sure thing, SG.
I think if you just keep your priorities in order, emotional and otherwise, you will be fine. If you must put more emotional energy into your work situation right now, then do that. Worry about the home situation as little as possible, and try not to feel guilty about not worrying about it when you can't spare the emotional investment.
