A few years ago, when I was in high school, I was in a documentary about modern Witchcraft called Out of the Broom Closet. I just received word from Lorri Leighton, the totally kick ass director, that it will be out on DVD soon! I saw a mostly finished version at a screening about a year ago, and it was beautiful and so moving...she and the crew did an awesome job, and were extremely fair and respectful in their portrayal of Wicca.
Here is the website:

And, a little request: please send positive thoughts/energy to Lorri and everyone involved in the film. She is wanting to distribute it to schools and libraries so it can be used by educators among other things. Her goal is not to make money off it, but to educate people as to who Witches really are and what we do. I'm not just saying this because I was in it, but it's such a wonderful film and I wish as many people can see it as possible. There was a Q/A session and meet-and-greet reception after the screening I went to, and so many people came up to me and talked about how they were touched by the rituals and our stories. I think all of you here know we're on the cusp of some big changes and the Universe is trying to get folks ready...and maybe, just maybe, this one tiny film can be part of that. :)
