I was raised on Jesus raisin bran. It was so off mark.

All my metaphysical travelings keep bringing me back, to Christ. Or Allah. All there is.

I'm so sorry that this teaching got bogged down in a myth about a savior, born in a city presently torn apart by strife and dumb politics.

I find he was a wise teacher and said some things I like to remember.

He was many incarnations. Don't let the Christians poo poo reincarnation! The Christ was reborn Elijah and the Father, and some believe Jesus. People who want to quote scripture, should really read scripture.

I sound like such a punk this morning. Guess I'm in a punk mood.

Thanks for sharing. I've been on a spiritual reading program lately and from those readings, I have come up with these exact same conclusions about Jesus. These articles confirm all of it in a concise neat package. Wow! I'm passing these along to a lot of people.

1. please cite the scripture you say proves Jesus was a reincarnation of Elijah. who is the father you mentioned?

2. I read several claims that the Jesus Myth is a retelling of the Greek Dionysus, and the Egyptian Osiris. Several miracles events and principles coincide in the 3 myths. What do you think of that? Do you want to hear more of that? I'd have to do it in free time (= not now sorry).

I haven't been a student of the scriptures for some time now. I used to have concordences and greek translations that my dad gave me. I had to give them up in a move.

But that is an interesting question.

I really can't "prove" anything.

I believe the Jesus story is a retelling of many past events and methods of worship.
The one you cite, certainly. It is the triad, trinity. Always presented as three in one.

The Father I mention is the god of old, with at leat 7 names. I wish I could bring you the scripture. It might be something I just picked up.

It may have been John The Batptist who claimed to be Elijah. I'm a bit rusty.

It was all magick. And fundies get their tighities in a wad because of magick.

7. I'd love to hear it crickett.

I've done a lot of reading (grew up Catholic but left when I was 15) and have found the same thing you have: Krishna, Mithras, Jesus, and someone else (will have to look through my notes) all having the same birth myth. It was eye-opening, to say the least. In fact, I just heard that the guy who was emperor at the time of Jesus' birth was supposed to have been born of two Greek gods - which is why Jesus had to be born of a virgin. Can't have the king upstaged by a saviour without a divine birth.

So, when you've time, I'd love to hear.
