Manifestation resources
Hi All,
Prior to starting our February manifestation check-in thread, I thought I'd share some resources that may be helpful to you in your journey.

Some of the resources I'm listing I've used and dnjoyed, others are titles that I'm aware of but have no personal experience with. So my sharing these is not a personal endorsement nor a suggestion. ;)

The Game of Life and How to Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn

The Secret Door to Success by Florence Scovel Shinn

The Power of the Spoken Word by Florence Scovel Shinn

Your Word is Your Wand by Florence Scovel Shinn

Or all of her works in one volume:
http://www.amazon.com/Writings-Florence-Scovel-Shinn-Success/dp/0875166105/ref=pd_sim_b_3/102-9697169-0234530

***My only caution w/this author is that she does tend to speak in terms of "God" and "the bible" but not in a way that is in line with strict christianity. She utilizes these terms much in the way one would find within any metaphysical text. Just thought I
would mention this for those that are "turned off" by that sort of thing. Much of her work resonates with what one would find w/in The Secret.

It Works by RH Jarret
http://www.amazon.com/Works-R-H-Jarrett/dp/0875163238/sr=8-1/qid=1170112475/ref=pd_bbs_1/102-9697169-0234530?ie=UTF8&s=books

***Very simple book, or should I say pamphlet. It's tiny, almost a brochure--good information within but it's hardly a time consuming read or novel. ;) This has been in circulation for years. Though I've provided a link to it on amazon, I've also seen it at a few slternative bookstores (i.e. metaphysical, craft, spirituality, psychic, etc.).

Visioning: Ten Steps to a Life of Your Dreams by Lucia Cappachionne

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1585420875/ref=wl_it_dp/102-9697169-0234530?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1UAJLO7JD6S6L&colid=1R798036SLU38

The Visionary Business: An Entrepreneur's Guide to Success by Marc Allen

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1880032465/amb

Affirmations:

On Abundance

I live in an abundant universe, which meets all of my needs.

All of my needs are met with a bounty of time to spare and to share.

I am richly supplied.

I claim the abundance of the Universe.

February manifestation thread coming soon! In the meantime--feel free to share manifestation resources on this thread.

2. Thanks so much, KW...!
No worries if these books were mentioned in prior threads. I hope this becomes a "resource thread" of sorts, so it's great having them here, with a personal recommendation from you. Thank you for sharing! :hi:

4. Ten Ways We Hinder the Law of Attraction
Ten Ways We Hinder the Law of Attraction

by Wendy Betterini

"Why isn't the Law of Attraction working for me?" This cry of frustration is uttered often by people who are learning to consciously create better lives using the Law of Attraction. After spending weeks trying to raise their vibration, focus their minds and bring forth a better reality, they can't understand why they're not seeing results. Or sometimes they'll see small results which gives them incentive to keep going, but they still don't see improvement where it REALLY counts.

Does this describe you? Have you raised your eyes to the heavens and demanded to know why the Law of Attraction isn't working for you? Or perhaps you've resigned yourself to one of these deadly beliefs:

"It seems to work for other people, but I just can't get it right."

"I must be doomed to failure."

"I knew it wouldn't work, but at least I tried."

"I'm such an idiot; why do I keep getting sucked into these ridiculous schemes?"

"God must really hate me."

Well, wipe those destructive thoughts right out of your mind! Seriously, they won't serve you a bit, though I can understand why you're tempted to believe them - I've been there too!

Here's the good news: the Law of Attraction IS working for you. It works all the time, every time, without exception. If you're not seeing the results you want, the time has come to ask yourself what you're putting out there that is attracting similar energy back into your life.

Before you get angry at me for telling you you're "doing it wrong," please understand that you're probably NOT doing it wrong - but there may be one or two things you're doing that are creating resistance, which slows down your results.

Skim down this list of the most common ways we hinder the Law of Attraction from delivering what we want, and compare them carefully with your own habitual thoughts and feelings:

INDECISION

Do you have a clear vision of exactly what you want? Perhaps you aren't picky, you just want things to be "better" than they are now, whatever that ends up looking like. However, the Universe doesn't want you to settle for "something good," but instead attract EXACTLY what you desire!

What do you desire? Take some time to think about the facets of your life. Think about your job, financial status, relationships, health, body size, vehicle, residence, and more. Are all of these things an accurate reflection of what you would create if you could start over? Make a detailed list of EXACTLY what you want to create for yourself. Write down every tiny aspect you can think of. Then read this list frequently to keep your vision sharp and clear in your mind.

UNWORTHINESS

Do you REALLY believe you deserve the things on your list? What makes you so special that you deserve abundant health, wealth and happiness? That's not a rhetorical question. I'm really asking, what makes you so special? Don't have an answer? How about this: you exist. Someone breathed you into existence and infused you with all these desires, and for what? Why would your desires exist if you weren't meant to experience them?

Until you can understand just how special and unique you truly are, you might resist the abundance and joy the Universe is offering you. Perhaps you feel guilty that others are struggling, so you keep yourself at a lower level so you don't make them feel bad. However, holding yourself back doesn't serve them, or you. Embrace your true worth as a human being and let it be a shining example for all to see. Empower others (and yourself) with the knowledge that they too can create better lives.

DISTRUST

Some of us have a skewed view of the Universe (or God, if that term resonates with you). From an early age, we're taught that we have to comply with certain guidelines and behavioral rules - or else. We see the Universe as some angry force that will deliver a wrath of misery upon us if we do something wrong. It's no surprise that most of us end up feeling like we're walking on eggshells. We actually EXPECT bad things to happen because we've developed such a negative view of the powers that be. We're afraid to ask for what we really want because we might be viewed as greedy, ungrateful or selfish. We're afraid to hope for something better because we might get a lightning bolt up the wazoo.

How about turning this belief around? We can just as easily believe in a loving Universe, one that wants us to do well, be happy, and feel abundant. Rather than approaching the Universe with the mind-set of a scolded child, why not step forward confidently and joyfully and claim ownership of what is already yours? Believe me, the Universe will applaud you for doing so, and reward you beyond your wildest dreams.

DOUBT

Even if you WANT to believe that the Law of Attraction really works, you might be holding back somewhat to protect yourself from disappointment. If you don't give it your "all," you think it won't hurt so badly when it doesn't work out. However, doubt is like a big old rubber doorstop that prevents the gateway of prosperity from opening. You affirm, you visualize, you get clear, and the gate begins to swing inward, creating a crack through which shimmering golden light shines forth. You begin to step forward into your glorious new reality, when "bump!," -- oops, never mind, there's a doorstop there and the gap isn't big enough to let you through. Oh well, better luck next time.

Think of FAITH as the oil that keeps the hinges on the gates of prosperity operating smoothly. If you keep the hinges lubricated and the gates free of any obstructions (doubts) - they will swing right open and you'll be dazzled by what you see on the other side.

DISBELIEF

No matter how badly you want something, if you don't believe it's possible, you will resist it. Perhaps you've set some lofty goals for yourself, things that almost seem too good to be true. Perhaps you want to be a millionaire, but you're currently earning $15,000 per year. Or you want to meet your soulmate, but you long ago convinced yourself that he or she doesn't exist. Turning these negative beliefs around is CRUCIAL to attracting your desires!

For every limiting belief you hold, I want you to take a blank sheet of paper and come up with ten reasons why your desires are POSSIBLE. It's important to make the reasons believable and logical. For example, "It's possible for me to become a millionaire because other people have done it, and some of them started with less than what I have now!" Or, "It's possible that my soulmate exists because I simply haven't met every person on the planet yet. He or she might be searching for me even as I search for him/her!"

Keep repeating these reasons to yourself, until you are absolutely CONVINCED that your desires are indeed possible. It may take time, and it will certainly take lots of repetition, but the stronger your belief is, the more likely you are to attract the end result you desire.

DUALITY

Do your day-to-day thoughts, feelings, and actions paint a very different picture than the affirmations and visualizations you project? Are you affirming your financial prosperity while at the same time worrying about your bills? Both realities CANNOT co-exist in your life. Either you're prosperous, or you're not. Either you're successful, or you're not. Either you're healthy, or you're besieged by aches and pains.

At every possible moment, you need to let go of your old reality - even if it means pretending that the symptoms of lack, struggle, and illness do not exist. At the very beginning, it will be a challenge to do this fully, but if you keep at it day after day, repeatedly turning your attention to thoughts of wellness, abundance, and joy, and focusing less on lack, struggle, and illness, you begin to shift your reality to what you focus on the most.

FEAR

Perhaps you're claiming to want something better, but you also fear it on a deeper level. If you want to be a best-selling author but you fear publicity and fame, guess what happens? You resist the formation of such a reality in your life because it makes you uncomfortable. If you want to be financially abundant but you worry about what others would think of you, resistance is woven throughout your desire for more money. In effect, you're asking for something but also pushing it away at the same time.

One good way to overcome these fears is by facing them on paper. Ask yourself how you would handle people who thought poorly of you for being wealthy. "I'd tell them to mind their own business," might be one response, or "Their opinions of me don't affect my life one way or the other" would work nicely also. If you get clear about your fears, you'll realize that most of them are irrational or irrelevant. Even the ones that hold merit, however, can be worked through and your resistance will dissolve in the light of clarity and purpose.

FORCE

You watched the movie, "The Secret," or read a great book about the Law of Attraction, and now you're all fired up! You're SO DETERMINED to change your life that you proceed full steam ahead. You begin religiously reciting affirmations and performing meditations and visualizations and feeling good at every possible opportunity. After a week or two nothing has happened, so you increase the intensity of your efforts. You start meditating not just for 15 minutes a day, but for two hours a day. Your affirmations become a litany of desperation to make something happen. Still no results, so you work harder, and harder, and HARDER at it - until finally you scream in frustration, utterly exhausted from trying so hard.

Lighten up! I know, that's easier said than done when you're not happy with your current reality. But seriously, the harder you "try," the worse it's going to get. Back off, relax, and just let it happen when it's going to happen. The more relaxed and joyful you can be about the process, the more quickly your desires will come forth. Read more about the process of "allowing," and learn how to BE what you're trying to attract. It's a much simpler way to activate the Law of Attraction, and everything will just FLOW smoothly and easily. No force required. Really.

FRUSTRATION

Speaking of frustration - it's yet another way we hinder the Law of Attraction. When we feel frustrated, we emit an unmistakable signal to the Universe that acts as a beacon to attract more situations to be frustrated about!

Remember the importance of FEELING GOOD! Why is it so important? Because of the signal it puts out to the Universe. The more you feel good, the more you attract situations and experiences that will help you to feel good. I know it's challenging to feel good when things aren't going the way you want, but it's so important to do so anyway! I don't care if you have to slink off to a private place to be alone with your thoughts, or sit in a movie theater to watch a comedy, or go window shopping on your lunch hour. FIND things that make you feel good, and do them as often as possible. It is so, so, SO important! If you have a few moments of frustration here and there, don't sweat it too much, just do what you can to have MORE moments of feeling good than you do of feeling frustration. It will make an incredible difference.

And finally, the Number One way we hinder the Law of Attraction:

IMPATIENCE

Most of the people I hear uttering the weary cry above (Why isn't the Law of Attraction working for me?) haven't been working at it for long. Perhaps a few weeks, maybe even a few months. Believe me, I know the feeling of desperation to get things moving in a more positive direction, but it takes time!

Remember that we're constantly experiencing a RESIDUAL effect of our PAST thoughts, feelings and beliefs. It's unrealistic (though understandable) to want to change it all overnight. But it's not going to happen that quickly most of the time.

Sure, you might see small improvements here and there, which can make you feel like you're making progress. That's a good thing! Just don't despair if you seem to be moving in slow motion through unpleasant circumstances. You're not crazy, you're not doomed to failure, and you're not a complete idiot. The transition you're going through is completely normal.

Simply do what you can to stay positive and keep up with the activities that will attract something better in the future. Be gentle with yourself, and know that this too shall pass. And in the very near future, when you really begin to see this force shifting the circumstances of your reality before your eyes, WOW - you'll be so glad you stuck with it through the tough spots!

The journey is worth it in the end, believe that.

***lildreamer316 Here: I "stole" this from a forum in the group at Powerful Intentions. I recommend you browse around over there; there are a bunch of great mainfesting freebies and help tools to be had without paying the extra join-up fee. I'll post more later. I found this particular list a good thing to refer to for some perspective when I felt overwhelmed.

6. I think Spirit is teasing me this week re: manifesting ...
... I haven't been very successful in manifesting "the big stuff" thus far, so have pretty much stopped "actively trying" - thinking perhaps I am trying too hard and my energy is being misapplied.

Or maybe I'm trying to manifest against the Universe's plan  because what I'm concentrating on, isn't "appearing".

Of late I've taken to calling my noisy, rude, upstairs neighbor "It". Not sure why - or even exactly when - that started. This weekend, I was at home channel surfing and what's just starting ? Stephen King's "IT".

I had to laugh at myself.

Then, Sunday evening I blogged on my little online journal about bottled water - why it all tastes different, why it's so expensive, and why I can't seem to find any that "just tastes like water". Last night, I was out walking my dogs - too dark to go on the nature trail since I didn't get home from work until 7:30 pm - so we went thru the strip mall near my neighborhood. And what's sitting on the bottom of an abandoned shopping cart, but a CASE of Dasani bottled water!!

Again, I laughed at myself.

Of course, I also snapped up the water and carried it as far toward home as I could, then when it got too heavy, I stashed it behind a tree and went back later in my car to get it.

Anyway, I think Spirit enjoys tweaking us just a little bit once in awhile, and I also believe that she has a sassy sense of humor.

Still not sure about manifesting the 'big stuff'. Maybe I need to work on little parlor tricks for awhile longer.

7. Those are great manifestations, hippiechick!
Do you like the water? heh I'm picky about getting spring water. There is a brand here that is 'purified' Houston water. ick
Must be SPRING. I like Dannon best but it is hard to find.

I like those little reminders that my thoughts are things. The larger 'things' take longer to show up because they are Larger! I have a huge goal. Something I have day dreamed about for 20 years. I actually said it out loud at a LOA meeting a few weeks ago, when asked what would you be doing next week if you had a million dollars. Since then I'm finding little hints that I'm not quite ready for prime time. I am doing the right things for NOW; the things I believe will get me There. If that makes any sense.

I've been getting big nudges from Divine Spirit/Universe that some things are just not mine to tend. I have a deep desire to fulfill my soul's purpose, and that goes a long way with LOA, imo. There is a certain amount of surrender involved. Sometimes we say "this or something better". Who better to judge what will bring me Joy (the reason for our existence according to Abraham) than the all-knowing?

The subject of 'manifestation' first came to my attention around 1980 (dating myself (which is okay)!). Someone gave me Norman Vincent Peale's book, "The Power of Positive Thinking". A couple of years later someone else gave me Emmet Fox's "The Sermon on the Mount". Both had an impact on me. I didn't practice the principle faithfully, but in 1982 when I was ready to think about getting married again, I realized I could attract exactly what was wanted and needed. And I did. That was 1982. Can't really say why I wasn't more diligent, but I really had all I wanted. One reason the relationship didn't transition into the person I was becoming, was because I began to take it for granted. Didn't think about being grateful. Huge Lesson.

By reading and listening to you all and others who are manifesting by intention, it is apparent that some specifics are required. Three years ago, I wanted to 'get rid of my car payment'. I totaled my car. No more payment. The same thing happened when I did a 'spell' to remove negativity from my life (no caveats). The negative job went right down the drain like I told it to. I've gotten very careful about wording and visualization. Others report the same kinds of experiences. That's what those 'little' things teach us.

OTOH, visualizing a 'good day' is effective, as lil'd posted above. A couple of days last week just seemed to 'flow'. I could not have imagined such them. I set positive expectations and intentions, and the Universe delivered. Nothing 'major'. Very nice all the same.

Please keep sharing your manifestations. :grouphug:

9. I do need to keep that advice in mind, Votes ...
... that the 'big things' take longer, I may not be 'ready' for them to manifest yet, and also that it may be so big that it's not up to me to handle.

 Hope you are well! Let me know!!

10. I am well.
Thanks for asking. I'll let you know

I forgot to mention ...

James Ray uses an analogy (or it may be his 'understanding'), that thoughts are like 'wave particles' and physical reality is composed of 'particle particles'. The Universe is constantly being attracted. Once the desire is put out there in wave form, it takes awhile for the particles to begin to attract together to form physical. One of the 'go words' (per posted by Lil'd) I like is "Together".

I am besieged by my subconscious mind feeding me poverty terrors. I thought I had worked around this by countering each time with a bit of an affirmation. But, when I stop doing that, they are as strong as ever, and seems like more frequent! I don't want to push them down so far that I'll never be able to resolve that message. At least it's a good thing I'm still aware of them. Someone at LOA last night brought up EFT. That might help with this subconscious stuff.

We also talked about just BEING AWARE of the Law, paying attention, enhances your manifestations greatly.
Conscious choices rather than habitual 'bad luck'.

It really is an exciting ride. :hi:

11. Wow--I like this...
...wave particles. Very cool!

Regarding the way you feel beseiged by thoughts: Is there a way you could tap into some other thoughts when you have the poverty terrors? For example, make a list (for yourself) of things that make you feel good--books, people, films, pictures, funny jokes, flowers, whatever takes you to a happy place. Whenever you are overwhelmed or your subconscious takes you to that place--immediately think of one (or more) of the things that make you happy.

Also, you could create some affirmations to say to yourself for the times when you have those thoughts. They are most affective when you find something that is significant to you. But just to get you started, here are some ideas of affirmations (just so you get a sense of what I mean)...

I'm well and wealthy.

I have abundant resources that support my every need.

The Universe (or whatever you believe in, God, the goddess, etc.)is unlimited and supports my each and every need.

****Sometimes, we have ingrained thoughts and beliefs that we didn't create--we've adopted them from friends, parents, society, etc. For all the times we've heard all the negative messages, we have to create positive messages and replace them over and over and over again until we learn new, more postive messages in our heads. ;)

Hope this helps!

12. Just found this about visioning boards....
...thought I would share!

My Dream Board is now a Vision Board.

Why am I changing the name? Why am I changing my process that’s been working?

Because it is my belief, it is my INTENTION that this process work better–work faster.

I was watching The Secret. (Have you watched it yet?)

My son was watching it with me for just a moment. He heard about making lists. He wanted me to help him write his list. He’s 5.

So he could be a more active part of making his lists, he’s starting his Vision Board. I’ve started a new Vision Board too.
For those of you who are not sure what I’m talking about, here are detailed instructions for you.

1. Get some poster board or a cork board. If using the poster board, you can get your favorite color. You can get a color that represents something for you. My favorite color is purple. A very rich color. Green is the color of money. You get the idea.

2. Fill up this board with pictures or thoughts of things you desire. I have a Million Dollar Bill I got from a workshop. That’s going on it first. Then a picture of the beach on Maui.

3. Put up your Vision Board in a place where you’ll see it every single day. I’m putting mine in my room. That way I see it every morning when I wake up. I see it every night.

4. Spent 5-10 minutes every day seeing and feeling you having those things on your vision board. What is it like? How do you feel? What’s fun about it?

5. Stop. Once you’re done visioning, move about your day. Just 2 hours of visioning is NOT more powerful than 5-10 minutes of visioning. This is much like homeopathy. Less is more. (Not none is more, or more is more, but less is more.) There is more power in 5-10 minutes of intense, pure vision.

So why am I changing the name of this process from Dream Board to Vision Board? Dreams are just that–Dreams. Vision is real. I want my intentions to be real, not dreams.

If you want your intentions to be real, you may want to create your Vision Board today. And when you do, make sure you include all 5 steps. They are each important. It’s like your car operating on one less cylinder. It looses power.

Are you ready to move from Dreaming to Visioning?

Create your Vision Board. You are what you think. You are what you see.

15. MORE stuff!:
Ok.

Powerful releasing techniques:

The Sedona Method by Hale Dwoskin www.sedonamethod.com
The Work by Byron Katie www.TheWork.com
The Emotional Freedom Technique www.emofree.com

A video I just received showing a shortened ten minute tapping technique:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjSaChUHcMg

Our Own METTA's tapping technique:

Let’s begin. See yourself in as large a space as you can imagine. With your arms crossed in front of your chest, tap on the top parts of your lungs, from your collar bones to the top of your breasts and say “I release my grief and everything that's attached to it.” Say as loudly or as softly, and as sparsely or as frequently as you want.
If you include the area in the top corners of your chest approximately three fingers down from where your collar bones and your shoulders meet, approximately six fingers in from the center of the joint, you stimulate large nerve groups which release blocked and held energy and relax and stimulate your arms, neck and hands.

Over the liver, tap and say “I release my anger and resentment and everything that's attached to it.”

Over the stomach, which may also include the intestines and bladder, you’ll know by feel, tap and say “I release my worry and everything that's attached to it.”

Over the kidneys, tap and say “I release my fear ....”

Over the throat, two to three fingers above the notch, tap and say “I release my voice ....”

One finger’s width out from where the bridge of your nose meets your forehead, on the impressions at the bottom of your brows, with your thumbs, tap and say “I release my sight ....”

Over the third eye, slightly above where the nose meets the forehead, tap and say “I release my insight ….”

At the sides of the base of the nose, the width of one and a half fingers out and one finger up, on the pressure points, concentrating on your breath, tap and say “I release my life ....”

On the point at the center of your forehead, at the beginning of the hairline, tap and say “I release my devotion ....”

On the breast bone, tap and say “I release my joy ....”

I salute the divine within you.

I and several others have found this to be helpful:

AND; this particular one I credit with helping me to manifest several large amounts of money and opportunities:
http://www.lifeapps.com/
**Ok. He had a great free mp3 about manifestation that included exercises;but it was only free through Christmas.
HOWEVER; PM me and I'll see what I can do..hint hint. It has worked for a couple of other people I've turned it on to; so I would encourage you to try it. Can't hurt.

I also want to say AGAIN how much I am identifying with the book at www.paxtonrobey.com. Why I bring this up is because he has a couple of audio tracks there to listen to that I downloaded just the other day--very interesting and helpful; if a bit slow (his voice is very deep and relaxed; so you have to be paying attention and not let it lull you into space!)

Another free e-book:

I will add to this later. Just thought it might be better to have all of this in one thread for easy reference.

19. Manifestation works!
All of the advice mentioned above will get results. It is not wish fulfillment.

I have found that if I clearly state what I want to occur as if it has already happened, the likelihood of my experiencing it in some way greatly increases. Things don't work out when I expend effort trying to figure out how my hopes will manifest. Just say what you want as if it has occurred and don't worry about how it will happen. The universe is far wiser than we are.

That little thing seems to be one of my stumbling blocks sometimes. I tend (Stated: used to!) be a control freak and need to obsess about HOW this thing was going to happen. I have been more aware of this lately and am taking steps to alter my thought processes.
Whew! :)

28. Hi votes...
...you may not have to pick one. If you follow the link in my original post, there's now one book that features all of her work in one! I checked on the amazon link and it looks like they have several (new or used) as low as $6.99.

If you aren't interested in the book featuring all of her works in one, I'd suggest The Game of Life and How to Play It. My introduction to her was one of her other books(don't recall which one). While reading it, I noticed several mentions of The Game of Life book. So that must have been her introduction to this school of thought.

27. One more cool article that's really speaking to me right now:
I had a major revelation today about just REALLY letting go and allowing the Universe to provide. I keep "doing" and not just "allowing"; and I didn't really get the feel of that until today. Of course as soon as I had that realization I found this article. Hope it's helpful to others!
(This is allowed to be posted on boards; article is not posted independently anywhere I could find; so I had to post entire thing here.)

THE SECRET OF "DOING WITHOUT DOING"

by Robert Anthony, Ph.D

One of the mistaken certainties or misconceptions most people operate under is that you get what you want in life by what you DO, or through the actions you take. Most people believe that the DOING or action part is what makes things happen. However, this causes you to create in reverse.

Let me explain..

The reason we put a lot of emphasis on action is because we do not understand the power of our thought. If you analyze it, 90% of most people's actions are spent trying to compensate for inappropriate thought.

The Chinese philosopher Lao-tsu said that, "In the practice of the Way, every day something is dropped. Less and less do you need to force things until finally you arrive at *non action* When nothing is done, nothing is left undone". What he is talking about is "doing without doing"

The problem is that most of us are preoccupied with "doing". Unfortunately most of our doing usually involves struggle. In the western world we are conditioned to be action-oriented, so we place a tremendous value on doing. We are so busy doing that we do not realize that all this "doingness" causes us to create in a reverse fashion.

Most of our actions are out of fear, worry or doubt because we believe nothing will get done unless we DO something. In other words, we are trying to force our desire into manifestation through action.

If your decision to DO is dominant, then you will not focus on what you want to BE in the present moment. This causes you to miscreate because BEING is the first and most important step in the creative process.

Here is the secret.

It is not your action that makes things happen, it is your intent. You can reduce the need for action to a very minimum by allowing yourself to focus on what you desire until you feel the positive energy begin to move within you. This energy is not based on doubt, fear, anxiety, worry or need. If you focus on what you want instead of what you don't want, you will know when it is time to take action. And when you do, it will be effortless. Doors open and the entire universe will conspire to assist you in your desire.

Put simply, you should take no action on anything until you have visualized your desire and made it real enough in your mind that your next action (step), whatever it is, seems like the most logical step.

How can you know the next logical step? Here is the test that you can give to yourself before taking any action. If you focus on what you desire and still feel overwhelmed or anxious, then you are not ready for any action. You know you are ready when it feels like the next logical step is effortless. There is no effort, no strain, and no pain.

What we want to do is to use the leverage of energy, the same leverage of energy that creates everything in the universe. However, we are so caught up in the reality of WHAT IS, that we feel we must create everything through mental effort and physical activity.

Have you ever seen people who seem to have all the wonderful things in their life without much effort? It almost seems like they have an advantage over everyone else. Then you see the people who work the hardest usually have the least. That doesn't seem fair does it? But that's the way the universe works.

Unfortunately, those who work the hardest usually have the least because they haven't learned the leverage of aligning their energy. They are going about creating their lives the hard way. They are trying to use their actions to create what they want.

We have also been programmed that in order to have what we desire we must work hard. How many times have you heard - "No pain, no gain." The implication is that if you want to make something of yourself, you must work hard. The message is clear - if you are not hurting or struggling, you are not moving forward.

But here is the truth - anytime you are struggling you are miscreating. Anytime you feel pain or struggle, your magnetic point of attraction is directed to that which you do not want, rather than to that which you desire. Read it again!

Actions are necessary, but they are the last component of the creation processes. Actions cannot be used effectively to initiate results, because initiation is the function of BEING, then thought, then action.

Remember, the creation of anything is through your vibration. Everything vibrates, and it is by that vibration that we harmonize and attract experiences to ourselves. So before you act or do anything, first ask yourself, how am I vibrating? How do you tell? You tell by how you FEEL. Your feelings show you your vibration. How you feel determines what you attract.

When you use the process of creating by only focusing on what you want instead of what you don't want, you will see that the universe will provide a different set of circumstances for you that requires much less action. This puts you in a state of "doing without doing" or action without effort.

31. This fits in so well
with what has been coming to my attention the past week. Abraham calls it the 'art of allowing'.

"Today, no matter where I'm going, no matter what I am ding, and no matter who I'm doing it with -- t is my dominant intent to look for that which I'm wanting to see. I'm wanting to find thoughts and words and actions that feel good while I'm finding them. For in doing so, I am, in the moment, practicing the art of allowing all that I've been telling the Universe I'm wanting, for all the day of my existence". Abraham workshop 10/29/2000.

HOWEVER .. I guess the caveat of feeling the positive energy flow might get around what I thought was an 'exception'. I'm working on a fund raising project. I want to write a draft before we meet tomorrow night. But I haven't touched it since Thursday! True, I've been going to a lot of meetings and re-arranging my house, going through paperwork (ugh-in-a-big-way), and etc.... So, I have a bit of excuse. I finally motivated myself to pull the folder off the shelf and look at it. Just shuffling the papers around and looking at my notes from last week got me back in the groove. But I did get that charge of energy when this project started. So, I guess we can't count it as an exception.

Good stuff.

Sometimes I think it dosen't apply; and then later I realize it does.
It's hard to realize how much we don't allow until someone like this really points it out to you. I mean; I had the concept; but I didn't really "get" it until today.

35. this is very true
Doreen Virtue writes pretty much the same thing.

There is another book I came across its called:

"The Hidden Messages in Water" by Masaru Emoto. It is a NYTimes best seller. It shows actual photos of water that was spoken to negatively and how the ice crystals were deformed. In essence since we are mostly made of water, what we think is how our life will manifest. Check it out.

Another book I like is: The Feng Shui of Abundance by Suzan Hilton, since I like Feng Shui, this book worked for me.

I am struggling with my intentions right now, I have a cd by Doreen Virtue and she talks about karma and how we subconsciously damage the outcome of our lives. Just one doubt can manifest into our worst fears and its very possible we brought it from our past lives.

36. I have this book, and I basically liked it. If I recall correctly, she really stressed...
the importance of "titheing" 10% of your money. I've always been someone who gives where I feel that the Universe calls me to give, and I feel as though I've always been taken care of by the Universe because of this. However, when I tried the 10% titheing for 3 months just for the sake of making myself more prosperous, everything went out of kilter for me and things stopped flowing as they normally did. it was probably because I started living in fear, but, regardless of the reason, it really didn't work for me. There was also the issue of her stating that you should give to those that "feed" you, and she even mentioned herself. Her mentioning herself really turned me off! Giving, to me, isn't about making oneself more prosperous; it's about helping others. It was really weird how it worked for me personally.

There were other things about this book that I liked, but I couldn't completely get past the issue above.

Do you remember this about the book, bliss_e?

37. Hi Dream...!
Oh no...I can SEE why that would turn you off, Dream! I would have been really upset by that, too. bleh. You know, I've only encountered her work through the magazine excerpt I mentioned. I haven't read her entire book. So I'm glad that I put it out here, and you have personal experience with it and could provide feedback on specifics.

Reminds me of the whole bruhaha I experienced over Dr. Dyer. I haven't been able to even look at that man on public television after reading those comments last year on his website. Really turned me off from him. :( But of course, I don't expect others to dislike him or his work. If he, or the author mentioned appeal to others--definitely use their work to your benefit. I unfortunately have issues using the works of those that don't seem in alignment with the principles they preach, so to speak.

Thanks again for the feedback, Dream--so glad you shared this! I'm removing this person from my amazon.com wishlist today! lol!

40. Manifesting with the Moon
Manifesting with the Moon

Since the beginning of mankind, people have looked to the moon and stars for guidance. Ancient cultures measured and gauged the movement of celestial bodies to assist them with decision making and fortune-telling.

Learning how to work with the energies of the moon helps attune us to the rhythm and flow of Universal Energy in our life. In astrology, the energy of the moon is what guides us and is the directive force in living our true path. The moon carries the goddess energy, a receptive, yin energy (feminine energies). Working with the cycles of the moon allows us to position our creative forces in an almost serendipitous way. When working with moon energy, we draw in the energy of being in the “right” place at the “right” time.

Each lunar month, beginning with the new moon, has eight Lunar Phases, each lasting approximately 3.7 days. The power of the Lunar Phases deeply affects many aspects of life on the planet including ocean tides, fertility and human behavior. Each Lunar Phase carries with it a specific theme of action that draws situations into your life that allow the theme of the lunar month to unfold perfectly in front of you. Working with the specific action and theme of the Lunar Phase allows you to maximize your manifestation strategy and allows the goddess energy of the moon to work with you to magically bring your dreams into reality.

The energy of a lunar cycle grows as the moon slowly reveals and then hides herself again. Each lunar cycle leads to a new lunar cycle, allowing you to systematically expand on a manifesting theme. With conscious awareness, manifesting with the moon can lead to an ever-expanding spiral of spiritual, emotional and material growth.

Reading this book gave me the same excitement I got some 15 years ago when I read my first metaphysical book. It's incredible. It isn't a repeat of things I already know...although I'm fine with that. It goes into scientific proof. Some of the DNA experiments are astounding.

Has anyone else read this book? I would love to discuss it.

1) Want more for others than you want for yourself.
2) Think from the end.(See yourself as if it had already happened; act as if it were already here;etc.)
3) Be an appreciator in your life.(He explained he meant as if increasing in value.)
4) Stay in rapport with Source energy.
5) Understand resistance.
6) Contemplate yourself as surrounded by the conditions you wish to produce.
7) Understand the art of allowing.(Allowing means taking the path of least resistance.)
8) Practice radical humility.
9) Be in a constant state of grattitude.
10) Do not resolve a problem by condemming it.
11) Play the match game. (Always ask yourself "Am I matched up with the field of intention?")
12) Meditate.
