Manifesting question--Have you created a visioning board...?

1. I'm planning on working on one

I have an old bulletin board/chalkboard that used to belong to my grandmother that I want to cover in fabric and then add some trim. As far as the arrangement of the board, I thought I'd use some feng shui principles for placement: wealth upper left corner; relationship upper right; health in the middle, etc.

If her board is too small, I saw some corkboard at Office Depot for about $10 that I might use instead.

4. I have a rudimentary one

Basically four pieces of cardstock stapled together, with all my pictures stuck on it.

So far I have manifested quite a few items that I originally put on it.

5. Funny thing about that.

Seems I've been doing it since I was a teen.
I used to create collages all over my room from magazines. Now, they were mostly words cut out from ads that said cool things; but I had some fun and inspirational pictures interspersed.

I would also occasionally cut out pictures of houses or rooms or dresses that I liked and keep them.

This part got so pervasive that as of last year I organized everything into notebooks: One for the house, garden, wedding ideas, and holidays. Very Martha Stewart of me. I do also have some clothes, hardbody pictures from fitness mags and so forth, but not so many of them.

Now, I haven't lately put them up on an actual board, because I have so much stuff I need to choose what I want up there first, and that's daunting.

I have a smaller one with images that I've collected online on my laptop here that I open and look at every morning along with my affirmations notepad. I think that's pretty effective-but we'll see.

I like to get really creative with the words; and I still cut out phrases that I like. What's REALLY cool about this is magazines like O and some others regularly print great quotes from positive thinkers and visionaries that I can use on a great manifestation board. It could be an art I think, if done well. Sounds crazy, but I swear it brings out my creative side. I haven't done a "session" in years, but I have bags of words laying around all over the house. Gotta get to it...

6. I don't have a current one.

I have colored markers .. I'm a big colorer . it's a peaceful thing.
I once made my 2 drawer file into a poster board. Yes, I have experience at this. My fridge was one too.. which worked very well.

So, on my file cab, I posted an awesome Sun Image. I do worship the Sun. Traditional.
And garden things. Golf bag. I like golf. Sooo . when I moved to Austin and rented a room, there was a wall hanging with the exact same Sun. I have a moon wind chime. I'm all into stars.

It was an exact duplicate. I also did this 10 years ago before I got a computer and online.

The poster board will come to be. I have the materials, just some poster board and markers. Lacking magazines. I gave up buying them years ago. So I draw.

We can't go wrong with the vision board. Anything you do is positive.

8. Board

When I first started doing distance treatments I used a board. I got a masonite board cut--I forget the size--about 24 by 30 inches I think. I bought some clipboards and used velcro to attach them to the board. I kind of arranged it like a symbolic radionics machine with a target in the upper left (could be a picture of me) and the trend in the upper right (whatever I wanted to do). The other clipboards held some text. I would kind of drive the point home using a radionics device and also would tap down the "spine" (skeletal picture of the back). This actually worked pretty well. I still have this board but just use a computer program now instead.

9. You really made me think, Bliss.

Almost ten years ago I created one, and it's still right above my computer, just as it's always been. After reading your post, I decided it was time to take it down and redo it, because it was created for goals that I've long since abandoned. But I found that I literally could not change it, or would not change it. That's surely significant, but I have no idea what it means. Maybe the reason will come to me soon.

just start another one. I don't know that we should ever go back and change. It's impossible really.

The form is not so important, ime. Here is my shell story.
I started this is 1996. Took magainze pics and put them on my fridge.
Mentioned to bf at the time, wouldn't it be great to walk along this shore and pick up shells.
I'm a rock, shell, feather collector.

He scoffed. A couple of days later I was clearing out the front flower bed and found shells.
Someone had obviously dumped an aquariaum. I took them indside, cleaned them up and put in a jar.

Several months down the line, we moved into a new location that had Jars upon Jars of sea shells.
I lined the walkway. There were that many. Lots left over. I had manefested shells! Not the beach.

I've recently decided I want to do one for myself. I went out and got a big piece of poster board, but I have yet to start. I'm just thinking of using various magazines and glue-sticking whatever images/words capture my fancy.

12. Vision Board PowerPoint

I have one that I created using PowerPoint...
It was so much fun to create...
....thousand dollar bills flowing onto the page
........pounds flying off the page
It features my main intentions at this time in my life
and photos which capture the essence of my desires
the dreams are interspersed with quotes that I find inspiring


It feels empowering and uplifting to watch

18. I'm so not crafty or talented in the visual arts - my talent is in music

but I plan to just get some poster board and paste some pictures and phrases on it. My long-term manifestation goals are traveling to the exotic and not-so-exotic locales and getting a job that creates good in the world- either working with children or animals. I'm going to use photos of these things.
