Have any of you ever been to an Abraham/Hicks seminar?

I'm going to the one scheduled in L.A. on 3/6 with a group of friends. I'm just now starting to get into this particular philosophy and so far I love it. Jerry and Esther Hicks are going to be at this workshop channeling Abraham. I'm wondering if anyone has been to one of their events and if so, how it went.

but I have close friends that have been involved in Abraham for years.

Apparently it promotes the philosophy of energy atrraction - you attract certain circumstances based on the energy you manifest. You create your own reality.

That being said, recently I asked these friends about the tsunami victims - according to Abraham philosophy, the victims attracted this tragedy because of their "energy." Even babies, I asked? They said yes. It didn't make any sense to me whatsoever. Sometimes, shit just happens.

I have listened to a few brief lectures that my friends sent me, and I think there are indeed some universal thruths found in them, but that can be said about any spiritual tradidition.
