THE SONG OF CREATION
In the beginning
There was Spirit.
Spirit moved over the void and existed in timeless awareness.
Alpha and omega.
Beginning without end.
No thing and everything contained in one unlimited, unrealized potential.
And so Spirit thought.
And from the thought of Spirit sprang all of creation.
And Spirit was in bliss!
... As Spirit thought, creation responded.
Shapes and colors and sounds emerged to delight and bring glory.
And Spirit wanted for nothing.
For Spirit was complete. Alpha and Omega. Beginning without end.
And whatever Spirit wanted was instantly manifest and Spirit grew in the power and knowledge of creation and played.
But when time passed and Spirit had become a master of physical creation.
And when Spirit had mastered the intricacies of creation,
And when Spirit had exhausted the potential of imagination,
Spirit thought.
Spirit had created infinite wonder and beauty.
Shapes and forms, colors and configuration danced in the awareness of Spirit.
Yet Spirit, for all its awesome power, Spirit stood outside the created universe.
Spirit could see, but could not feel.
Spirit could dance, but could not experience.
Creation stood as a thing external.
So Spirit thought.
And from the thought of Spirit did Spirit enter into creation.
And Spirit was in bliss!
... From within the creation of Spirit, Spirit moved and danced.
Spirit created crystal palaces and lush gardens, beautiful music and exalted art.
Spirit created wondrous forms as vehicles for its magnificence.
And Spirit entered these forms and danced the dance of creation from within and from without. And in this dance, Spirit wanted for nothing.
For Spirit was everything and no thing. Alpha and Omega. Beginning without end.
And whatever Spirit wanted was instantly manifest and so Spirit danced in the halls of creation.
But when Spirit mastered the intricacies of creation, exhausted the potential of imagination, and grew bored of the vehicles within,
Spirit thought.
Spirit had created infinite wonder and beauty and Spirit had created unlimited bodies of experience.
But the effects were transient; the creation ephemeral; the energy too hot.
And like the gaseous vapor of a snuffed out candle, creation twinkled in impermanence.
So Spirit thought.
And from the thought of Spirit, the energies were reduced. The fires cooled. The vibration slowed.
And with a great explosion of light, a new universe was born.
... But things were different at this level. For as vibration slowed, and the fires cooled, creation became thick.
Physicality became dark.
And Spirit required time to create.
But still Spirit thought.
And from the thought of Spirit did Spirit create crystal palaces and lush gardens, beautiful music and exalted art.
Spirit created many wondrous forms as vehicles for its magnificence.
And Spirit wanted for nothing.
For Spirit was alpha and omega, beginning without end and whatever Spirit wanted was manifest.
And whatever Spirit wanted was instantly manifest and so Spirit danced in the halls of creation. The whole of creation proved a wondrous playground for Spirit.
But when Spirit mastered the intricacies of creation, exhausted the potential of imagination, and grew bored of the vehicles within,
Spirit thought,
Spirit had created infinite wonder and beauty and had experienced infinite variety and delight.
But the effects were transient; the creation ephemeral; the energy too hot.
And like the gaseous vapor of a snuffed out candle, the body twinkled in impermanence.
So Spirit thought.
And from the thought of Spirit, the energies were reduced, the fires cooled and the vibration slowed.
And with a great explosion of light, a new universe was born.
