1. There is no such thing that we could call "absolute knowledge"
The way I see it is that nobody can affirm knowing the Answer. Or Answers.

One may have a glimpse about the "Why"; a shread of light on the Universe purpose...

But I agree with you that when a person gets in contact with a "certain knowledge" most people don't want to hear it.
Either by fear, laziness or boredom.
Even though they would probably get it. At least partially.

I don't think that we get to think about Life/Death, Universe/Nothingness only because we have too much time on our hands.

Here and now, is it not one of our role to get deeply in touch with ourselves (soul, emotion, mind, body etc)? By doing so we are given access to a broader understanding about everything.

I often asked myself why I have been given the capacity and the courage to try to "Understand" and have so little opportunities to share it. I still don't have the answer to that. Quite frustrating sometimes.

2. Well actually you do get a chance to share it - if you want to -
there's an old spiritual saying "You don't learn more until you give out what you have learned" -

and " If you're on the spiritual path, it is your responsibility to help your "little brother or sister" up the next wrung of the ladder - you can not move further up the ladder until you have helped those on the lower wrungs"

That's something else to think about.

The secrets of the universe fall under the catch-all "Metaphysics".
So if you're secure enough in your knowledge, sit down, make an outline of how you would present it, and go to your local library, or book store, or gather a group of friends and give a seminar on
"Metaphysics and The Secrets of The Universe".

hmmmmm?

14. Lise - you made me smile too - you have no idea how many
lives you will touch by teaching just one person - and they explain to another person and another and another...

I found that out - and the funny thing is what you teach them stays with them - and pops up for them when they are in need.

It's pretty wonderful :)

:hi:

My post probably sounded pompous, :D. I meant that you almost can't comminicate it. When it hits you just right, you can only stand there nodding and smiling at the clarity of it all.

I just recently had my mind blown WIDE OPEN by Robert Monroe's second book, Far Journeys. All my life had primed me for that book, and it all fell into place so well that I was left gaping.

I don't have all the answers, but I have more than enough to keep me busy for awhile. I wonder if I could even BEGIN to sum up that book adequately so you could see even a hint of what he's about. Hmmm…

No…I don't think I could do it justice. There's too much. It's too big.

7. Hmmm, I think I still have that book somewhere.
He is the one who has that institute down in Va, right? If that is him, I went there with a psychic fair eons ago when I lived in NoVa.
I think I will try to read his book again.
Another book I enjoyed was Dan Millman, Way of the Peaceful Warrior.
I remember that turned my head around quite abit also.

13. The Song of Creation
Edited on Tue Feb-22-05 10:37 PM by Michael Sharp
THE SONG OF CREATION

In the beginning

There was Spirit.

Spirit moved over the void and existed in timeless awareness.

Alpha and omega.

Beginning without end.

No thing and everything contained in one unlimited, unrealized potential.

And so Spirit thought.

And from the thought of Spirit sprang all of creation.

And Spirit was in bliss!

...

As Spirit thought, creation responded.

Shapes and colors and sounds emerged to delight and bring glory.

And Spirit wanted for nothing.

For Spirit was complete. Alpha and Omega. Beginning without end.

And whatever Spirit wanted was instantly manifest and Spirit grew in
the power and knowledge of creation and played.

But when time passed and Spirit had become a master of physical creation.

And when Spirit had mastered the intricacies of creation,

And when Spirit had exhausted the potential of imagination,

Spirit thought.

Spirit had created infinite wonder and beauty.

Shapes and forms, colors and configuration danced in the awareness of
Spirit.

Yet Spirit, for all its awesome power, Spirit stood outside the created universe.

Spirit could see, but could not feel.

Spirit could dance, but could not experience.

Creation stood as a thing external.

So Spirit thought.

And from the thought of Spirit did Spirit enter into creation.

And Spirit was in bliss!

...

From within the creation of Spirit, Spirit moved and danced.

Spirit created crystal palaces and lush gardens, beautiful music and exalted art.

Spirit created wondrous forms as vehicles for its magnificence.

And Spirit entered these forms and danced the dance of creation from within and from without.
And in this dance, Spirit wanted for nothing.

For Spirit was everything and no thing. Alpha and Omega. Beginning without end.

And whatever Spirit wanted was instantly manifest and so Spirit danced in the halls of creation.

But when Spirit mastered the intricacies of creation, exhausted the potential of imagination, and grew bored of the vehicles within,

Spirit thought.

Spirit had created infinite wonder and beauty and Spirit had created unlimited bodies of experience.

But the effects were transient; the creation ephemeral; the energy too hot.

And like the gaseous vapor of a snuffed out candle, creation twinkled in impermanence.

So Spirit thought.

And from the thought of Spirit, the energies were reduced. The fires cooled. The vibration slowed.

And with a great explosion of light, a new universe was born.

...

But things were different at this level. For as vibration slowed, and the fires cooled, creation became thick.

Physicality became dark.

And Spirit required time to create.

But still Spirit thought.

And from the thought of Spirit did Spirit create crystal palaces and lush gardens, beautiful music and exalted art.

Spirit created many wondrous forms as vehicles for its magnificence.

And Spirit wanted for nothing.

For Spirit was alpha and omega, beginning without end and whatever
Spirit wanted was manifest.

And whatever Spirit wanted was instantly manifest and so Spirit danced in the halls of creation. The whole of creation proved a wondrous playground for Spirit.

But when Spirit mastered the intricacies of creation, exhausted the potential of imagination, and grew bored of the vehicles within,

Spirit thought,

Spirit had created infinite wonder and beauty and had experienced
infinite variety and delight.

But the effects were transient; the creation ephemeral; the energy too
hot.

And like the gaseous vapor of a snuffed out candle, the body twinkled in impermanence.

So Spirit thought.

And from the thought of Spirit, the energies were reduced, the fires
cooled and the vibration slowed.

And with a great explosion of light, a new universe was born.

...to be continued...

4. As the HitchHikers Guide to the Galaxy
so wisely pointed out the real problem about life, the universe and everything is not possessing the answers but knowing the right questions.

5. So very true.
I lent my daughter the book : "The lazy man's way to enlightment."

Never came back. The book I mean.

Got lost in the Montreal subway.

I hope that who ever found it also found a way to accept "Not Knowing".

12. Ya,
according to Douglas Adam's, 42 is the answer to the question of hte meaning of life. Its the answer that the computer (this earth) spit out immediately prior to being destroyed (if I remember correctly).

so 42.

that's the ticket
