Vedic Astrology Predictions for 2005

http://www.galacticcenter.org/2005_predictions.htm

<snip>
February 22nd the Moon’s nodes (Rahu/Ketu) will change signs. Rahu will change into Pisces and Ketu into Virgo. The nodes remain in a sign for one year and a half. Ketu will conjoin Jupiter while Jupiter remains in Virgo till September 27th. Ketu is the indicator of loss and Jupiter expands the planets close to it. This can symbolize great losses. Where there is loss there is a search for ways of alleviating the pain, resulting in a search for the spiritual. Spirituality will be on the rise with more people looking in this area for healing and comfort. Actually, I believe this will be the beginning of intense interest in the metaphysical and spirituality that honors freedom of thought not based on fear. Great strides in research supporting life after death will be in the news.

The new Moon on February 8th has Pluto and Mars in the12th house in Sagittarius representing secret plans for attack and war. Religious fundamentalism is brewing on all sides of beliefs. Beliefs are becoming more polarized. We must hold constant thoughts of world peace, for this will counteract the old conditioned beliefs that keep our world in fear.

March

The new Moon occurs on March 10th in Aquarius close to Uranus. This will open minds to new ideas. Look for inventions, discoveries, medical breakthroughs and cures to give new hope to the world. Mars in Sagittarius will oppose Saturn in Gemini creating tension and delays in plans for the future. Anger and frustration grow with confrontations and disputes never resulting in any compromises.

Mercury turns retrograde March 21 in Pisces. This will cause all sorts of delays and miscommunications. Pisces is the sign of victimization, and since it is close to Rahu, watch for martyrs trying to manipulate others with their victimization.

There are plans to jump start the economy. Airlines and travel are having many problems. There may be possible airline fatalities as in crashes and explosives. Jupiter and Mercury are in parivartana or mutual reception and mutually aspect each other by opposition. This will give rise to some big ideas. The real-estate market will get a boost by the economy or government. Pluto will turn retrograde on March 28th, this is a powerful intense turn of events with plans for war dealing with explosives or bombs possibly atomic energy.

Astrologers look at 2005

Looking Forward, Looking Back

There certainly is no lack of powerful themes to play out as Year 2005 unfolds. This follows on the heels of the past year that put itself on the astrological map as extraordinarily memorable. Lady Venus was the star attraction held over for one of her longest runs in history. She danced with Pluto, which called forth our deepest relationship issues. That meant rough going as many people faced the reality that their partnerships were not quite as they seemed.

Esoterically, this was the emergence of the Sacred Feminine and the impact will continue for the coming year. Maybe for the first time in long earth history the pendulum will not swing back and forth placing first the matriarchy and then the patriarchy in control. The transition to equality relationships both individually and collectively will be a bumpy ride at times.

The great planet Uranus sets out a laundry list of surprising - even shocking - events for the coming year and beyond. This guy likes changes of the unexpected and sudden kind. If this is a cycle that touches your life individually, you may not end up where you planned or expected. Be alert to synchronicities that alert you to new possibilities.

3. very interesting
Most of the items mentioned are things we've speculated about for a long time at DU. Bush and impeachment? Unexpected events in relation to Gannon?

Thanks for excerpting. An intriguing collection of reading about times to come.

4. Michael Lutin:
wherever you have aquarius in your chart
is flooded
and needs your love and attention

all the planets are bunched together in the second half of the zodiac
right now
so much of your life
is lived
outside
dealing with people
issues
relationships
career
"Stuff" that involves others and demands you be in contact
and connected and relating and moving about
that is
all the planets except one
deep down at the bottom of the chart
lies Saturn in Cancer
and that
right now
is the tail that is wagging everybody's dog
so no matter how busy and bright your day
you will still probably wake up in the morning
with a knot in your stomach
an
odd feeling of
loss or regret or dread
most people have the wonderful capacity to deny
the feeling
those who can't deny it
know it's there
it's a memory or a foreboding
and it drives you
drives us all
to create more and more security for ourselves
in an effort to rid ourselves of that feeling
the drive for security can have a positive result
because it can get you to
build a house
save money
cherish people
all sorts of things you'd never do
if you didn't wake up
or go to bed
with that
slight tummy ache

March 20, 2005 Aries Equinox Hot Spot
Venus conjoins this eclipse at 19°06' Aries, which (loosely) opposes Jupiter, squares Saturn, and squares the Neptune/Pluto midpoint, to make a cardinal grand cross of sorts. Important judges or religious leaders may retire or die around this time. The planets in Aries answer to Mars, which is trining Jupiter and approaching conjunction with Neptune in Aquarius. Given Jupiter in Libra and the involvement of Venus, international cooperation and diplomacy could take center stage again in Washington, amidst all the Mars-y energy. There is also a risk of large fires, and things in general are overheated. Saturn is under stress in this chart. An important development in the world economy (sharp inflation?) or trade problems may arise. The path of this eclipse runs through Colombia and Venezuela - watch for a U.S. oil grab in that region; this could take the form of either a military invasion or a U.S.-sponsored coup, since Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez has defied the U.S. This chart will be activated again on July 10, 2005, when Mars reaches 19° Aries, the degree of this eclipse.
