Hi. Just thinking about you today and wondering how you, your grandson and mother are doing?:hug:

1. That was a timely call!

My own computer, in my own house, on my own internet connection, just got set up today. ;-)

Thanks for asking; my mom is doing great, and so is grandson. His recovery from open heart surgery 3 weeks ago is simply astounding.

I am here in my house; can't really call it "moved in," since everything is still in boxes. My horses are here, and I'm currently working on better fences for them. My promised job that spurred me to make the move disintegrated; I have another interview this week, and I really need it to go well. The window of opportunity for a good contract for the coming year is quickly drawing to a close, and I have to pay for this move and new/old place somehow.

We are also involved in some very bizarre, complex legal maneuvers concerning he long-term custody of the grandson; it has been very tense, and painfully expensive. The sale of my old house fell through once, and is still not quite complete. That leaves us with some legal and financial hurdles still to come. If I hadn't been directed here so forcefully, and if I'd known how many obstacles I would stumble over on the way, I may not have had the courage to step forward. Now that we are here and settling, though, I'm grateful that I didn't know, and that I moved forward.

I'm looking forward to catching up here; what have I missed?

2. Well hi! That WAS some good timing!

I'm SO glad to hear everyone is in good health and doing well. That's the main thing. It sure has been a bumpy ride, and sounds like it continues to be. I am sending good vibes your way and will visualize you with a job that you love (and simply couldn't have known about until you got there), settled in your cozy new home, with a contented and loving family and your girls grazing in green fields. Now that's a wonderful sight to behold! :hug:

It's funny; I, too, have felt that whatever "career" I'm going to have will be very different. I just don't know what it might be. I keep looking around, and am not finding anyplace else to go but the familiar, and those prospects are weakening, too. So I'd like to request that the universe give me a gentle nudge towards the doors that will open; I'd be happy to travel that way if I just knew where it was.

This has been a really busy time for all. I realized recently that every single person I know has been involved in some sort of shift this year; job shifts, relocations, relationship changes, and more. We're all hanging on for the ride; I've had to give up all my nice organized plans and preconceptions, and just see what each day brings.

I'm glad he's doing okay from one heart patient to another. :hi: I hope he stays doing fine.

6. He had another checkup yesterday;

We were all grinning, doctors, nurses, family; he's healthier at this moment than he's ever been in his life. In the last 2 weeks, he's grown a quarter of an inch and gained 2 pounds; he's got more energy, more appetite, and even more determination than ever before.

We all wish we had his energy, and his capability for rapid rejuvenation. Thanks for the good wishes.

9. Finally!

June was a long, tense month around here; interview after interview, but no takers.

Finally, that came to an end today. I knew it was a "match" before I ever got there, just from the phone conversations to set up the interview. And......

I have a job, and can stay in my new home for the coming year!

The grandson had another check-up and bunch of tests with the cardiologist this week, and has graduated from cardiac patient to healthy, normal 5-year-old boy with no restrictions at all.

We're celebrating a lot here this week!
