Why so many divorces lately?
Seriously, I have never in my life heard of so many people planning divorce as I have in the past couple of weeks.

WHAT is going on?!?!

1. Yes,it fits though
People are going through incredible changes. Some divorces are understandable and some aren't. But I'm learning that we who aren't in their situations can't really decide whether it's justified or not. Changes are happening these days that are far beyond our comprehension.

I just wish the pain they go through is minimal and they can as quickly as possible hang onto what is most important to them in their spiritual growth. Whether they realize it or not, that's what it's all about.

2. I've read that money issues can exacerbate problems already present in
a relationship. I think our general economic situation is responsible for some of these separations.

3. I'm surprised too, amitten
I remember reading somewhere that it would be part of the shift--if a partner chooses to go forward and the other partner chooses not to, divorce would be a likely option, but the partner who chooses not to go forward shouldn't be criticized. However, I had no idea there would be this many partings. (And on a personal note, I must admit I'm a bit concerned for my own marriage, as we are very different, and Mr. MG prefers to hold a lot of negativity, which naturally I've become less tolerant of as I've continued with my ascension process. I truly don't know what our future holds; I just want to follow the correct path, whatever it may be.)

5. I feel kind of similar. I feel I've pushed ahead and I can't do that for
him.. he's got to see and do and figure it out. Resentment, I beleive, was a big issue. I couldn't understand why he wouldn't be happy for me figuring things out and becoming happy with a different view of the world.. less materialistic.. more substantial. In my growth, somehow I was projecting a "better than you" attitude. I've adjusted how I speak of issues and worthiness and happiness. Its helped a lot. We've re-connected on an emotional level and physical one. We have made significant grounds this year (and yes, I wrote it down of white paper in blue pen.. guess 2008 wish list is starting to be checked off). I'm not sure if we'll last forever.. but there is a deffinate renewed vigor in our relationship. We were young when we met and have had a lifetime of issues in the last 7yrs. Sometimes as we change, its time to move on.. and sometimes there's time to re-connect by listening and understanding (sometimes that's hard to do if one person changes or grows faster than the other and how receptive the other partner is to those changes).

4. I think it's another Saturn in Virgo thing.

Part of the big "Operation Clean Up." Some people will be cleaning up their relationships and discover that what they find underneath the crap isn't worth keeping.
