NDE Update: Thank you Dover, Scard, Cleita, Crikket, and Conscious Evolution!

A few days ago, Dover's OP, "21 Days into the Afterlife," caused me to begin re-assessing an NDE I had almost 13 years ago. I responded to the post with my core dilemmas and got very supportive feedback that took the edge off of diving deeper. Followed the suggested links and eventually landed at the blog of Dr. PMH Atwater, who has written a book about the after-effects of NDEs, and she posted a few months ago that there is a course in development about the after-effects of NDEs, and the professor needs experiencers. BINGO! There it was. I quickly contacted the professor, hoping I wasn't too late, and got a quick response with the first Module, "A Course for Near Death Experiencers."

From the professor it seems what I've been practicing in my quasi-hermetic life are what I'll need to use in the course, so being a cave-woman has not been for naught. And the Adventure continues! :woohoo: and :grouphug: Thank you all!

It seems that the goddess/universe will provide answers and assistance when you ask. Honestly, yours isn't the only story here on the Astrology Forum for those who have found a resolution to a problem by just posting about it. Some of it has gone on behind the scenes, but it seems that the spirits are reading our posts.

2. The I.A.N.D.S. group has meetings monthly here in VA Beach & there is a weekly

discussion group for folks who have had NDE or a life changing experience. I started going and have met some interesting people.

7. Yeah, I found an I.A.N.D.S. group in Los Angeles, about 2hours away

from me. I look forward to attending a meeting soon. It's funny, a lot of the groups seem to be in the VA Beach area. I'm guessing it's because of Edgar Cayce. Seems pretty cool to have an area with a lot of activity researching and helping people with a variety of experiences!

Years ago, when I first started researching for the after-effects, it seems the only info was the scientific documentation of the experience, lots of talk of whether it's real or not, and not much on support. I was probably not a good enough web searcher/surfer yet.
The other part of the prototype course's title is "Finding The Soul's Mission," involving journaling, dream work, and meditation. The professor writes, "There are 3 stages to learning what your mission is, according to Bolles (2006); The first stage is one which is shared by the whole human race, which is: 'to seek to stand hour by hour in the conscious presence of God, the One from whom your Mission is derived.' The second stage is also a shared mission and is: 'to do what you can, moment by moment, day by day, step by step, to make this world a better place, following the leading and guidance of God’s Spirit within you and around you.' The third step is the one which is uniquely yours and it is:

'…to exercise that Talent which you particularly came to Earth to use – your greatest gift, which you most delight to use, in the place(s) or setting(s) which God has caused to appeal to you the most, and for those purposes which God most needs to have done in the world.' Richard N. Bolles, 2006

13. I had a question

about your experience, if I may.

You said you saw your family in the waiting room and they were upset, but you didn't care. Did that really happen on the physical plane? Were they informed that you had passed?

I'd like follow up questions :D . if you are open to talking about it?

It definitely happened on the physical plane. No, they hadn't been informed. What happened was that as soon as the surgeon made the incision, she said that I had hemorrhaged and couldn't stop the bleeding. This is when I popped out of the body, saw the lady who asked if I was ready. I immediately thought of my family and was immediately in the waiting room.
I talked to my sister about the experience a couple of weeks ago. And she said they just knew something was wrong and decided to pray. It's funny because the surgery was only to last for 1/2hour at the most but within a few minutes, they knew it was not going well.
I thought I'd kept the guilty feelings under wraps all these years, but when I confessed to her, my sister said, "Get over it. We all knew you didn't want to come back because you kept saying, I don't want to come back." It was a revelation to me! LOLOLOLOL...
