Obama swearing in ceremony during MFR (Mercury F'ing Retro)
Oh boy, I don't like this one bit. Is there anything positive to his taking office under the auspices of Mercury Retrograde?

For me it's started already. My computer has gone wild, as has my internet phone. :eyes:

2. he will be ok...

After all, he wasn't elected during MFR. And all the planning was done prior to the MFR.

I'm not an astrologer, but my understanding is that MFR periods at the higher levels tend to be times to review and revise plans, versus initiating new plans. Such as will happen with the financial stimulus package, which will be in review and revision during the MFR period.

But plans that were made before the MFR and are already in place should be ok.

On the other hand, us regular folks may run into problems getting to the inauguration, or getting home from it. Or tuning into it on tv or internet.

MFR = :rofl:

3. My mother coined that, she's almost 68

It's a running joke in my family. My husband, who is a mechanical engineer by education (heavy on Physics) a real math head geek, even believes in it. He's been working with computers since 1992 and asks me when the next MFR is coming, because he knows his group will have all kinds of headaches. LOL.

True to MFR, today I tried to exchange printer cartridges only to find that the ones from Europe aren't compatible with US machines. :banghead: That was after I opened the packages. Thankfully I got a refund. Oh, and my magicjack has been acting up, and my satellite tv that I watch on my computer keeps crashing. Oh joy.

This is my MFR BIBLE: http://www.astroprofile.com/2009mercuryrx.htm

4. Magic Jack - OT - how is that working for you
Mine has an echo all the time, delay might be the better way to state it. Or it seems to drop some of the conversation by fading away and coming back

8. Most of the time pretty well (except for MFR periods)
It's not as easy to use as they'd like you to believe, mine never would start up upon turning the computer on. I have a shortcut to the MJ.exe program that I have to launch. Everytime they do an upgrade I have to chat with customer service to get the phone to work. I thought about being a distributor, but I can't sell something if I have a hard time using it myself.

It's better than paying Vonage $31 a month.

10. yes - I like the cost - I don't use a phone much right now so it is good enough
I disconnect it from the computer and start up computer without it and then connect it. I found otherwise sometimes the computer would not come up right. The fade in and out when talking with someone gets to me.

But it has been a great way if on a road trip to call instead of hotel phone bills since it will work on wireless too. It just hard for the person on the other end because of cutting in and out.

I am on my second year.

The phone company cost way too much and vonage would be ok. I was originally with sunrocket then teleblend and when I realized how little I use the phone, well, now I have magicjack. I have a cell phone on Virgin Mobile which is $5 a month and the costs of the call when I use the phone.

5. I coined that in my household!
I'm almost 65:) The astrologer on StarlightNews(Nancy's Blog and formerly an astrologer on DU) http://www.starlightnews.com/ has done a lot of work on the whole campaign, election, and Inauguration(and before that the bush years)..so you'll probably find it very interesting, 48Percenter. :fistbump:

Thanks for the link to your MFR Bible! Llewellyn's Daily Planetary Guide is a very useful tool I've found for MercuryRX and a whole lot more.

6. I noticed that recently and FREAKED. But I have seen numerous things started under M Rx flourish

anyway. I'm choosing to believe that the Mercury Rx during his inauguration reflects the unique nature of his administration and the looking back/soul searching we are doing as a nation at this time.

7. MFR again?
It feels like we just had one. And I need a new (used) car. I guess my old beastie will hold up for a few more weeks if I don't go far. Not eager to buy a car on Mercury retrograde. Damn.
