I finally remembered a dream.
I dreamed that my dad didn't really die. (He passed in 1998) My family knew but didn't tell me! I was so upset with them, I didn't even want to talk to him. But I really did. There was other stuff going on, but this was the main theme. I was really glad he wasn't gone.

1. I'm sorry I am unable to interpret the meaning of your dream but
I used to have these type of dreams constantly after my mother passed in 1999. I found them torturous at the time but as time went on (and less frequently) I started to find comfort when she'd show up in a dream. Later, the scenario about her not really being dead went away and she'd just be there like always. When she did show up, there would be something interesting about what she said or the situation or action in the dream would mean something to me.

2. For a couple of years after he passed,

I dreamed of him often. In one, he was trying to keep up with us as we hiked across a field. I told him, Daddy, you are dead! He never looked healthy in any of those dreams. Kind of a Frankenstein look. Last night, he was completely healthy and normal. I'm on the outs with my mother again at the moment. I don't know if the dream has reference to that.

The rest of the dream is not very clear. I remember I was playing a game with a couple of "bad people". I was losing badly. Then I reviewed the rules of the game and realized that there was a three card play I could use that would finish them off!

Do you remember most of your dreams? I've been really focusing of late, telling myself that I will remember. I hate not knowing what I'm dreaming.

ps.. I am holding to the dream vision of him being perfectly healthy, because he was not at the end here or any of the previous dreams.

3. Yes, I usually do remember my dreams.
Only if I am really stressed or had some type of significant change occur that I hadn't completely adjusted to yet, do I sometimes have problems remembering my dreams. Or, I'll experience, like you, remembering one part clearly but the rest becoming garbled.

I think it was good that your father looked healthy in your dream. Did he say anything to you?

4. I don't remember him saying anything..
but now I do recall that the reason given (that I had not been told) was that he was on some kind of "secret mission" and had to pretend to be dead to accomplish it. I don't know how I saw him in the dream or how I found out he was alive. He was with my mother, but I saw him more clearly.

5. hmmm
For me, my dreams like that I still feel were to torture me. hehe :D

But, for you, I think that it may be telling you that "He's not dead and on a secret mission" so to speak. Maybe its good for you not to think of him as dead but alive and well in the other place beyond. And, doing work thats not readily know to you(or us on this side) from where you are. Also, maybe part of his mission is to help with you and your mother's issues. :) Well, thats my 2cents. Hopefully it will be worth something for you.

That is thought provoking. He always kept us together, and after his death I didn't speak to my mother for four years. He was a peace maker. Interesting. Thanks.

11. I'm with Dreamy
I think he was popping in to let you know he really was ok but had important work to do he could only do on the other side of the veil. I have had similar dreams about my Dad where he shows up and I am ticked as I thought he was dead and others knew he had been just fine the whole time. Others it is like he never left and suddenly I realize hey, he died years ago what the heck?! Then I relize I am dreaming and feel happy to know he showed up to let me know he was still around like nothing happened even if I can't see and very rarely sense him.

7. My first thought was it was him visiting you
I was told a while back by a medium that every time we dream of our loved ones on the other side, it is actually them visiting you. It's the easiest way for them to visit us. During this session I had with her (visiting my deceased parents), my parents said that they were very happy and thought it was so funny how they have none of our limitations anymore and can now see everything, yet we think of THEM as not living instead of us. They were so amused by that whole concept. Your dad isn't gone. He's always as close to you as a fleeting thought. Maybe that's his message to you.
