mugwort and dreams

for a long time I was distressed that I rarely rarely remembered my dreams.
I read that mugwort can intensify dreaming so I started taking it,
and I've had a lot of interesting and/or fun dreams lately.
Time to start a journal I think.

My last one I dreamed that my ex,
who rather abruptly dumped me after 12 years,
tried to make nice or take me back by appealing
to an interest that I have long since put way on
the back burner.
Certainly interesting, this one, but not fun.
I am rather discombobulated.

1. There was a period of
time when I dreamed of my ex every night. We always got back together. Sometimes it was so real I wasn't sure when I woke up! They stopped when I realized that 'he' symbolized a part of myself that I had 'lost' and needed to reclaim/integrate.

Interesting about the mugwort.

2. Can you tell us more about the mugwort?
And how you use it?
I receive medical care from a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner and burn mugwort at certain acupuncture points. The practice is called moxibustion. I have never noticed an increase in dreams when using mugwort.

4. I think it has to be ingested to help with dreams
Mugwort is said to be useful in inducing lucid dreaming and astral travel. Consumption of the plant, or a tincture thereof, prior to sleeping is said to increase the intensity of dreams, the level of control, and to aid in the recall of dreams upon waking. One common method of ingestion is to smoke the plant.
