15. It's still traumatic

to be left when other people are getting laid off. He'll still need some TLC :hug: I trust all will go well for his future at the job.

He said the place was chaos today--nobody was notified that the three managers were let go, so people were still looking for them and they were nowhere to be found. And of course it was nonstop rumors (all unsubstantiated), all day. And his coward of a manager hid from everybody to avoid having to answer questions.

The worst part is it's not over yet--apparently cuts will come in phases. Raises (flat cost-of-living increases) have been delayed till June so they can save six months' worth of increased pay...but also so they could thin the herd beforehand. :(

It has two hospitals, some senior living facilities, etc.

I asked him why the three managers were let go, and he has no idea, nor if they were offered packages, although he's pretty sure one of them was interested in leaving before all this came about, so maybe the management took volunteers. Nobody knows for sure, though, and nobody's talking.
