1. It is visually gorgeous but I did not 'get' it
and I badly wanted to! I kept feeling like something was going over my head. Maybe I can watch it in a few years and finally connect.

2. I THink Not Getting It Is Part Of "Getting It" The Movie Speaks To The
Mysteries of life and the spiritual quest to comprehend the mystery.

That quest is eternal and was reflected in the three time periods.

but I'm glad that I watched it.

6. Hi Fire Walk, Rest Easy In The Knowledge That The Fountain Is Excellent
Film Making.

The fact that some "don't get it" speaks volumes about film's ability to stir wonder and curiosity.

Many must still require nice tight endings to all of life's challenges and questions.

Seems rather an oxymoronic concept for those with the future in mind.

For the "snob critic" crowd this is what is known as an art film.

Hate that label, but America has to have labels I guess.

Nonetheless, this skeptic, agnostic/atheist found the film worthy of consideration.

7. You won't get any from me. I loved this movie.
I'm sorry to hear about the crap heaped on you :( That's really a shame. I've only seen it once. For me, it was both visually stunning and a moving story of everlasting love and a desperate attempt to thwart death instead of fully living life with all it's tragedy and beauty.

9. I must have seen it three times in a very short period while it was out.
I couldn't get enough.

Some people seem to get something out of belittling those who have passion for the abstract. It must threaten them or something.

10. I saw this movie but it took me awhile to jog my memory when viewing the trailer
Since this plot covers several timelines it takes a certain amount of having to pay close attention to the details. I can't remember when I saw it so the story is foggy, but I did enjoy watching it.

If you like these kinds of movies might I suggest "Youth Without Youth" staring Tim Roth, screenplay written and Directed by Francis Ford Coppola from 2007.

It deals with metaphysical themes. I posted a thread about it here in the ASHA forum a few weeks back.

I loved this movie.
