so May 25th has come and gone
what major insights or changes did you experience?

For me...it's been basement flooding. Literally. :( Hot water heater died early Monday morning (I discovered it around 3:30 am).

And inspiration for my letter to previous owners of my house. Now written and awaiting my final review, edits and approval :)

1. Sorry -- guess I wasn't included in this one
I didn't notice anything different, and especially nothing better. It was nightmare as usual at my house -- mother still has alzheimers, brothers are still disabled. I still work at the same crappy job with a crappy salary. I still don't see a way out of this hole. Business as usual.

2. A friend returned
A friend returned to town from out of state on May 24. I am hoping all goes well for her, but sometimes we dig ourselves a hole that is hard to get back out of, it is like she is at that "crossroads" where she can continue with life or bail. She has attempted suicide in the recent past, I am hoping she wades through the muck we all get ourselves into sometimes and goes down the path of the living. But no one can do that for her. She has been on my mind since I helped her move some things on Sunday.

3. I finally got a chance to watch and listen
Eckhart Tolle through Pharoah's thread http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=245x92845

Wow, if the Universe ever spoke to me about being on the right path, it was through Tolle last night. I'd gotten really sick of myself constantly forgetting how to get back in the flow. The first video of Tolle hit me profoundly of the eternal Now, region of the un-manifested, always in the background and no big ceremonies necessary to merge with. I've been in the flow for the past month after absolutely demanding the chaotic schedule stop. I asked my guides to send help for me to easily remember. It feels kind of automatic now, like knowing to get a glass of water when thirsty, going to the bathroom when you need to pee-pee, sneezing when your nose tickles. You know what I mean? So happy to listen to the simplicity of Tolle's message.

4. it's been a rough month for sure
I feel like I am struggling against the tide in some places. I want to move forward, but I get really tired & bogged down and the old pattern of hiding from my life tries to take hold. (spent so much tIme in recent past in degenerative illness and subsequent depression)
so I am looking forward to the tide shifting.
I went through my bills and papers and "faced the music" yesterday...got my shit together so I can move forward and know where I am going and when...

Hoping the clarity and stamina stay in place for now!

It is still making us keep our noses to the grindstones.

Look for widespread, overall and over-reaching changes to your attitude

5. what's the significance? is it because of the new moon?
I skimmed the other threads looking for a reason why the 25th is significant. What did I miss?

Anyway, my stepdaughter came back to visit for the first time in 4 years. She's only here for a week, but maybe there's a major insight or change inherent in her presense here. Things have not always gone so smoothly.

Hope I was PMSing, though. Rick says it's going to last all summer, and these sudden bouts of "What're YOU lookin' at?" outta me wouldn't be healthy for that long!

On the plus side, I finally busted through my writer's block and now have all sorts of ideas. If I'm smart, I'll channel my newfound creativity toward my freelance job before my deadline smacks me in the face in a few weeks!

I spent weeks sitting and staring at my 'puter, waiting for inspiration, and I got nothin'. My blog languished for way too long. I let assignments go (and now I'm getting closer to the "last minute"), but I couldn't help it--it was like my brain had shut down. Or at least the "creative writing" part of it. Lights out, nobody home. And then, all of a sudden, an entire blog entry just popped into my head out of nowhere. Wild!

10. 25th
The tripilicate of Neptune, Jupiter and Chiron lasts ALL SUMMER.
The closest they were was yesterday. There is no way to know what it means, only to speculate. It's a MAJOR general period.
I have had and ANGEL sent to me and I see it all around. With Chiron involved, I see many of us dealing with our life-long "wounds".
I hurt my back (and hip) (ruled by Jupiter) in a major way. A CHIROpractor seems to have fixed it though. My "liver" has come into question with a local nutritionist. Jupiter rules the liver.

The most major thing: as I said, "manna would descend from heaven"

Now, I feel like my relationship with God is only a hairs-breadth away! which is marvelous!

good thread!

As I mentioned in another thread, I'e been waking up around 2 or 3 a.m. every night, which is not like me. Our esteemed Sanity Claws suggested I'm having liver difficulty, which corresponds to 2 or 3 a.m. But as far as I can tell, I'm not having liver issues at this time. BUT if I'm being affected by Jupiter, maybe...? Ya think?

20. I don't know
insomnia is a complex astro thing
since it can be caused by depression (Saturn) all the way thru excitement (Uranus/Jupiter), each person's chart needs analyzed individually.

It largely depends on how long it's been going on.
My # 1 suspect is Uranus
especially if you are REAL ALERT AND LUCID?

11. It can mean so many things
the main thing is the INSPIRATIONAL looking forward
here are a few other "things" you might want to look at:

Body parts
Jupiter: liver, hip, thigh, upper-leg
Neptune: feet, and "liquids of the body", mis-diagnoses, especially with Mercury Rx
Chiron: intestinal

Social:
Jupiter: schools, legal profession, travels, long-distance anything, philosophy
Neptune: drugs, alchohol, anything "behind the scene", floods, water
Chiron: wounds, healing, especially healing healing healing

and Monday too. dh was especially negative and miserable, I really hate being in the same room with him when he is like this. Today, more of the same. I bought him some St. John's Wort, Mental Focus supplements and GABA. I'm wondering how long will it be to see any positive effect. I am a very sunny optimistic person and his negativity and crude misery is just pissing me off. I can't seem to get away, he follows me room to room.

Today I get home from work late and he's complaining (as if he were the one stuck at work). Nothing taken out for dinner, he says he just doesn't feel like it (he's been home all day). I put on some chicken but it takes hours to cook partially (mostly) frozen chicken. He is going on how I should not order out to save money etc. I'm really on edge as I haven't eaten since lunch and when there is nothing planned, I end up taking bad food in just to get the shaky feeling to stop. If I had known he wouldn't "feel" like it, I would have planned something. Sigh. Here I am whining.

I know that depression is not his fault but it's not mine either. So why do I have to suffer? I told him that there is a difference between living and existing and he needs to learn how to live. And I'm tired of hearing varying rants of how "everything sucks. everything is shit" and never a kind pleasant positive word. This energy is very claustrophobic for me.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Are you saying your husband is clinically depressed? Is he being treated for it? If he is, perhaps he needs to have his therapy changed or meds adjusted?

The answer to your question is you should NOT have to suffer. Neither of you should have to live like that. Please do try to get him some help as quickly as you can--and perhaps some counseling for yourself as well? It could be a big help to have a professional to talk to.

Be well, Eilen. Sending you lots of love and light for positive movement to heal your situation.

26. Thank you, it felt good getting your vibes
he has not been diagnosed as clinically depressed. Depression runs in his family. His brother is currently in an inpatient situation with bipolar plus. His mother has chronic depression and I think his grandmother had it as well.

He refuses to go to the Dr. about it. He has no suicidal ideation-- nothing like that but I can see he derives little joy from life. Instead, he seeks to use herbal remedy on his own but still would not discuss it with the nutritional counselor at the health food store. In fact, I talked to her and he got so embarrassed he left and sat in the car. I told him the counselor had no idea who he was, there was no need to hide.

His mother is a psych nurse and very overbearing so he does not want to talk with her (she would drive him nuts with her questions). As it is, the only time she calls him is when she is in the car on her biweekly visit to my bil with her annoying husband commenting on the conversation in the background.

He will not go to a professional period. So there is little I can do in the face of it. When he travels for work and is gone for a period of time, I am myself, feeling very light but after some time home I feel the cords and they weigh me down. When he throws negativity at me sometimes I have the energy to block and deflect it but other times I am tired and it feels so blah and faintly suffocating I have to remember to take big deep tummy breaths. The best I can describe it is like torpor, walking through knee deep water.

Edited on Tue May-26-09 08:50 PM by MorningGlow
My family members are very negative, and they dragged me down; I had no idea what a better life I could live till I was living apart from them (they weren't clinical, but they were negative and overbearing).

Eilen, you shouldn't be living like this--it's a toxic situation that will harm you in the long run (or sooner than that). I realize that your husband won't get help till he understands he needs it, and he won't understand that as long has he is in a depression, but for your own sake, please talk to someone for yourself. Like I said, even just talking it out with a therapist and getting coping skills could be a good way to deal with the toxicity that's being flung at you. Do you know of any contacts to find a therapist? Perhaps your own medical doctor?

On edit: Eilen, do you have children, or is it just you and your husband at home?

31. I have a son, he is 16
who lately has been the subject of much criticism with dh, some warranted but I keep telling him he needs to balance his criticism with positive messages. Suffice it to say, their relationship is not the greatest but I also have found that is common at this age.

I think I might go for some reiki sessions to clear off the yuch. My friend is a wonderful healer.

I used to go for counseling but it is to expensive back when I was having depression after my father died.

I really love my husband. He does not act like this all the time, just gets in these funks. It is totally brain chemistry. I guess I am saying that he does not fling this stuff out maliciously, his words and attitude reflect how he feels inside. I don't take it personally, but the environment it creates is gross and boggs me down. I need to give a few weeks for the supplements and herbs to work. Soon he will be back at work. My mother always says he's not happy unless he is complaining.

33. Have you talked to your son about his dad's behavior?
You're right that teenage boys butt heads with their dads a lot, but if your husband's criticism is fueled by more than just the usual teen/dad drama, it might be adversely affecting your son. He might really appreciate a talk, so you can let him know you realize your husband's behavior is a bit much at times, and that it affects you too.

Reiki is a good idea! Especially when it comes from a friend you can talk to. Counseling is expensive, I agree, but there are services for a reduced cost (or are covered under insurance if you have it) if you need it. You'd have to check with your doctor or HMO to find out more about that, though.

Be well, Eilen. Let me know how it goes.

I, too, was always optimistic & positive. He is my polar opposite. I've found lately that over the years, this constant negativity bombarding me has finally drug me down with it. I stayed strong for so many years, but lately I've not been able to fend it off like I did before. It feels like I've been caught by an anchor & am being pulled underwater. I feel as depressed as him, maybe more.

I'm trying to figure out how I can get an extended break from him. I may go on a retreat or attend a seminar. I seriously need a break from it all.

28. a project that I have been working on for 3 years
may be coming to fruition. This morning I sent an email to a prospective customer. I fully expected to hear them say "thanks, but no thanks"; instead, they told me our product had passed the next test and they wanted more information and to please keep following up.

Our forced move is going very smoothly. We have no home to go to; but, it feels good. I've been campaigning heavily for an RV and we should have our little house on wheels soon.

My beloved has been in an incredibly creative streak and has created 3 new products for our line up. Next month we see our major buyer and if all goes well; we will have our 2010 set.

We have both been working toward our goals and working on our ways of dealing with the world. In spite of all the craziness, I feel like we are floating our little raft in the current of life.

Please wish us well.

He is currently living in London and wanted to know what I had been up to and do I have a recent picture.

As far as out of the blue things, this tops my usual stuff.
I find it kind of charming in a nostalgic sense although I don't expect anything to come of it.

Edited on Wed May-27-09 11:43 AM by Holly_Hobby
I was in the ER over the weekend for severe abdominal cramps. Turns out I have the deadly c. difficile bug caused by massive doses of antibiotics a few weeks ago for an infection in my foot, which was permanently damaged 40 years ago (I'm a Pisces with a horribly afflicted Chiron in the 1st).

36. ouch...so sorry H_H
 By "deadly" do you mean the Quebec mutation? The normal variety is rarely lethal and sometimes resolves itself without treatment. Or did they put you on a different antibiotic?

Also, I trust you were advised to handwash very frequently and to clean the surfaces in your home with something like bleach. It produces spores that can live outside the body and be re-injested for later re-infection...

41. They didn't call it that, but I got the "infectious" treatment
That made me think it's highly contagious. They wore gowns, masks and gloves. They told me to clean the toilet seat with wipes that contain bleach after each use and to keep my hands clean.

They put me on metronidazole for 10 days. I have to see my doctor in 14 days for a culture. If it's still there, I get the big gun - Vancomycin. They also gave me a powder to mix with juice to stop the diarrhea, which worked really well.

The Dr. told me it's deadly and kills, tends to come back in a month or so. He told me to take FlorAstor after any other antibiotics to avoid it again.

I am feeling much better, though. The cramps went away after the second dose. They were awful. I'm still running a temp at night, though.

44. it is highly contagious
It is spore producing. Spores can survive outside the body, so you can re-infect yourself or spread it easily. That's why you want to wash your hands a lot and clean your home with bleach, which will kill spores. Also keep your toothbrush unexposed in the bathroom, such as in a cabinet, and well away from the toilet. Even with the lid down, but especially without it down, flushing causes fine spray that includes fecal matter and associated bacteria and spores. It's anaerobic, so the live bacteria won't survive outside the body...but the spores do.

Many people carry it, but their other microflora keep it in check. A heavy-duty round of antibiotics wipe out all the bacteria and then the spores can bloom and overgrow.

Hopefully you won't need to go to vancomycin. That's one of the last antibiotics left that treats a number of increasingly resistant bacteria...

62. "afflicted" is one of the words I'd like to see banished from astrology
There are squares and oppositions which work favorably for people. There are trines and sextiles that are toxic. Saturn and Pluto can do great things for some people while Jupiter and Venus can wreak havok.

And that leads to the other thing I'd like to see abolished in astrology -- reading individual aspects, in isolation, without considering the whole context. Cookbook-type astrology books and computerized astrology software have contributed greatly to the bad habit of looking at aspects in isolation. The better way to look at a chart is to look at the big picture -- the element balances, the general shape of the chart, the grand patterns like grand trines and t-squares and crosses and yods (or when a chart conspicuously lacks a clear pattern) -- and look at the aspects in terms of that big picture, as well as the big picture of the state of the world and times and culture in which this is unfolding.

Back in the day, I relished casting charts by hand, because the time I spent crunching those numbers was time spent watching the great patterns of a chart unfold. I found it much more difficult to read a chart I had not drawn up by hand, because I lacked that intimacy with the mathematical patterns. Computers take away that opportunity to experience the mathematics of the chart, even as they encourage reading a chart as a pile of isolated objects assigned predigested interpretations. I love computers for many other things (I'm surrounded by five of them at tho moment), but they've done astrology no favor.

</old fart rant>

YMMV.

38. Wow, something actually clicked for me! :)
I usually feel so removed from things shared here. But this resonates.

I got rather upset the other day when I realized that I've gotten so good at going with the flow and being in the moment, I couldn't visualize things the way I used to. You know, the whole creative visualization approach, envisioning and embodying the life experience I choose to have (nothing grand...just a less stressful daily life experience...financial freedom, creative freedom).

There was a complete disconnect. I couldn't -- and still can't -- imagine anything.

It's quite disturbing to me.

But a few things happened this week that I didn't put together until reading this thread.

I contacted several people and companies back in late December, about different projects, and got no response.

Lo and behold, this week I received responses after five months! And they were positive responses. :)

I really wish I could get into the flow of visualization again. I am completely in the 3D.

For good or bad. ;)

42. I found a swollen rear leg
on my beautiful, and beloved, yearling filly Sunday. By Monday she was feverish, swollen further, and shaking. I got the vet out of bed at 6am on Memorial Day, and he made 3 trips to my house that day.

I've made serious inroads on the budget for next winter's hay. :(

The filly? She has a virus. I have to give her 3 HUGE shots a day (I hate giving them even more than getting them,) take her temperature every couple of hours, isolate her, and a bunch of other stuff.

As a matter of fact, I'm due out there right now for more temperature, shots, etc..

Her first birthday was Tuesday, and she's sick. She should make a full recovery, but making sure she has care, dealing with the end of the school year and the budget cuts at work, and worrying about how to pay the vet bills...this hasn't been one of my best weeks.

46. She, and I, have been miserable.
The worst part of it is, she's always been so good. She's now needle shy, not from the number of shots, but because I'm so bad at needle placement.

I hope she forgives me. Meanwhile, it will be another long night of hourly temperature taking, to make sure it doesn't go over the threshold of safety.

I'm giving her all I've got, and I know it's helping; she's breathing much better than she was on Monday.

Good news this morning; her temperature is just a little high, well within safety range, without a shot of ketofin last night to help keep it down.

I hope we'll have seen the worst pass by this weekend, although the acute stage of this disease lasts about 21 days.

48. Aw, poor thing (and poor you)
Hope your baby gets better soon.

I took our neurotic part-Persian pisspot to the vet on Saturday--she always refuses to use the litter box, which is an everyday nightmare (I swear, I should wear the cleaning spray in a holster at all times), but on Friday it was worse, because she had violent diarrhea. Turns out she has a hairball that's partially blocking her intestine, so we have to give her liquid medicine (to dissolve the hairball) three times a day and a pill (antibiotic) once a day for 10 days. She's even more pissed off than usual because of all that, and Mr. MG has lovely claw marks on his arms, but she seems to be getting better.

the profound guilt when they trust you to help them, and you keep, for example, sticking them with needles.

Happily, I'm done with shots. My girl is recovering well, and getting a milder powder form of meds, starting yesterday.

I still have to hide it in molasses. There just is NO forcing a horse to eat something they don't want. ;)

55. Honestly, I think it is
I'm getting the impression that if she had married this guy, she wouldn't have been able to do something in her life that she needs to do. If that makes sense. The marriage wouldn't have been "bad" or anything, but she wouldn't have been able to take a particular path. It'll become clear, but not for a while.

I once worked with a woman who had a very bad breakup--they had moved into a house they had built together and everything, and she was in the middle of MAJOR wedding plans (honestly, she was a bridezilla), but then she started getting suspicious of his activities, so she followed him one night and saw him being way too friendly with a coworker as they left the restaurant they worked at. Her life was totally upended--she threw him out of the house, then they sold it, and she moved into an apartment and had to get a roommate and could barely make her car payments, etc. But she had dodged a bullet--better she had caught him then, instead of after they were married, you know? (Truth--the guy was a total weenie.) One day she came to work all depressed--I think it was the one-year anniversary of the date she had caught him with the other girl, and she said, "That was the worst day of my life." But another coworker and I said emphatically, at the same time, "No, that was the BEST day of your life." It took her a while longer to figure that out.

Anyway. I'm sure you ARE helping her by being there for her. Keep supporting her. She'll get through this.

I would love to hear more about this idea and get an idea of whether others in this group have ever felt that a door slammed in their face because they weren't supposed to take a certain path.

Would you mind starting a thread on this idea? Or would you mind if I started one and referenced your remark?

I think I understand the idea -- a contract before birth. But on the other hand, it is contrary to the concept of free will and to the principles implicit in manifesting things. Let me know what you think of a thread on this topic.

Oh yeah THOSE soul agreements--I know what you're talking about. Did I ever mention the boyfriend I had when I was in my late 20s--really lousy for me--we were SO incompatible (yes, I was on the rebound from another relationship). It was just a dumb phase of my life. We broke up eventually (and I was only upset because it hurt my pride). And then, years later, I had a dream about him. He had a piece of paper in his hands and was ready to tear it up. It was our soul contract, and he was willing to end our agreement so we didn't have to go through a relationship again in another life. And what did I say in the dream? "No, that's okay." And I let him KEEP IT.
:wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

So now I'm gonna end up having another go 'round with him in some other life. Just freakin' great. :banghead:

64. Neptune and Jupiter are both...
turning retrograde. What that means is that the influence of the planets hasn't "come and gone". Transits of the outer planets are slow anyway, and when a retrograde (or two, in this case) is involved then the influence can last for months, or even years. Even the transits of fast moving planets cannot be pinned down to a single day.

65. You'd think I'd have noticed a lot
Edited on Sat May-30-09 01:08 AM by Oak2004
what with my ascendant and Sun at 26 Leo (conjunct Pluto and Mars) at the short end of a t-square (the other ends being a strongly aspected Saturn in Sagittarius in the fourth house and an outrageously aspected tenth house Moon in Gemini).

I haven't noticed anything.

Well, almost nothing: there was a legal decision in an administrative case that went, more or less, against me recently (which is seventh house and Jupiterish and all), and had to do with medical equipment (that's all Chiron-y, I guess, as well as touching on money, where my natal Jupiter (second house) lives).

But the decision was expected. It isn't even the formal appeal, but the informal administrative review, where initial decisions are virtually never overturned. And in fact, the whole appeal may become moot because I may be making a change in how I manage my home care funding which will have the (unintended but pleasant) effect of removing the equipment we're having a battle over from prior approval to my control. The equipment is so (comparatively) inexpensive I might just decide to stick it on a credit card and be done with the silliness. It seems like far too insignificant an event to associate with what looks like one serious transit to my chart.

That said, anything involving Neptune unfolds gradually and subtly, and these planets are going to be hanging around that point for quite a while. It would be unwise for me to declare "transit over".

Edited on Sat May-30-09 09:18 AM by crikkett
- got some serious work done (without distraction)
- overcame many-years-long writers' block
- renewed ties with family (in-laws to be exact; I just got back)
- felt hopeful about the future on a personal level, again for the first time in years.
- became a muckety-muck in charity that I volunteer for
- dreamt that morning about eclipses and occultations, beautiful, amazing scenes that I didn't know I could dream up. Also, about needing to take care of certain animals (crabs and dogs and parrots, all someone else's pets).

Overall it was pretty phenominal. I hope it lasts.

71. I've been a bit out of the loop lately. What was the significance
of May 25th? I feel like a dummy to ask, but I either don't know or can't remember.

As for changes... My 22-year-old kitty, Cassie, passed away on the 23rd. :(

And I've been ill. No one knows what was wrong with me. My doctor dubbed it a "mystery illness." I became ill on the 20th, and began to get better on the 27th. It was a fever, just a fever. No other symptoms, just a fever that kept spiking up over 101, up to 102 at times. I ended up in the Urgent Care Center on Tuesday night, the 26th, and they ran a battery of tests on me, including x-rays -- all perfectly normal. Baffling. I am wondering, since I am an empath, especially with animals and children, if I was taking on some of Cassie's pain to help ease her passing. (She died quietly in her sleep, after refusing to eat for several days.) I can't come up with any other explanation.

My husband had surgery for his skin cancer (long story -- he's a 'Nam vet and it's service-connected, so was done at the V.A. hospital) on the 28th, and will probably need another soon that may require skin grafts. It's not the first he's had, and won't be the last, but it's been 10 years since he's had one this major. (He is doing OK... is up and about. He's tough. Doesn't complain much.)

And on the 25th itself, we began the process of restoring the swimming pool that came with the home that we bought almost a year ago. It has sat green and icky for the past year, until we felt we had the time and money to deal with it. So, yeah, that's a big change, too. Feels weird to have a swimming pool.

All in all, it's been a very strange week.

... I believe the 25th was when I signed the offer letter.

I worked there several years ago and left thinking I was dissatisfied and underpaid (well, I was underpaid) and took a job in a totally batshit crazy company ... lasted approximately 18 months then couldn't take it anymore, so I quit and started temping to
keep the lights on.

This job is in the same building I used to work in, my office is about 50 feet from where I was when I left, and my new boss is
a well-respected and lovely woman I worked with about 8 years ago.
