4. Your welcome w8liftinglady
Dr. Weil also has excellent recipes on his site.

{{More about Dr. Weil: His general view is that patients do best utilizing both mainstream and alternative medicine. In general, he believes that mainstream medicine is well-suited to crisis intervention, and alternative medicine is best utilized for prevention and health maintenance. He believes integrative medicine is an intelligent combination of both, and that the focus on healing should be on the body's own internal healing mechanisms and system. Nutrition, exercise, and stress reduction are emphasized in almost all of Weil's health works.}}

Dr. Weil has appeared on Larry King several times as well as a PBS series that they occasionally run during pledge drives, although I haven't seen it in a while.

5. Here are 2 favorites of mine

Just as an observation on Dr Weil, I have been shopping for a rice cooker and all I can find are "non-stick" type, in other words lined with teflon which is highly toxic. I was surprised to see that one of the more pricey, upscale type of teflon lined rice cookers is Dr Weil's brand. I'd think a health guy like him would know better than to put out such a product.

Here is what Dr Weil has to say about teflon

http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/id/QAA356881

As far as rice cookers are concerned I wouldn't waste my money on one. I received one as a gift many years ago and used it once. We make rice on the stove top and it is simple.

Melt some butter, add the rice and coat with the butter, add the water (usually 1 cup rice 2 cups water) bring to slow boil for 3 minutes. Turn off heat, cover with lid and let stand for 20 minutes. You will have fluffy rice that doesn't clump together.

10. I saw it in the store
the sales clerk and I were both surprised to see what it was and we went through the brochure that came with the thing. Nowhere did it mention that it wasn't teflon. She showed me a pan made of a ceramic type of non-stick finish and they said in big bold letters that it was not a toxic finish and it looked way different than the teflon finishes of which this Dr Weil most definitely was. Maybe they have different products for different markets.

I agree with you about cooking in a pot on the stove. Works great.

:-)

6. I find this site invaluable.
Some of the remedies are "out there" but a vast collection of info, as well as multiple personal opinions of each remedy. I use it frequently.
