Hey, the White House garden is a go
They just announced it on ABC news--Michelle wants a vegetable garden on the South Lawn.

1. Excellent news.
I signed a petition to get a garden at the White House. I hope the entire family gets involved.

2. I hope they invite Monsanto Corp Execs. over for dinner........
and feed them exclusively with all heirloom veggies, without the diners knowing.
How cool would that be.

3. This is great news!
I saw a special on the Sidwell Friends School. Apparently the children learn about composting and planting natural landscapes. I hope the girls get to go out and dig in the dirt. It did me a lot of good growing up.

4. Well, I love this, but ...
are we assured that it will be sufficiently secured against potential tampering? The articles say that it is "viewable" from the street, so there's no direct access. But, with something like that outdoors, someone with malevolent intentions might be able to find a way to introduce a toxic substance.

What do you think?

7. I'd like to place a small wager against
any Garden Terra-ist who makes it over the WH fence living long enough to poison the first plant. After all, the SS managed to keep bu$h alive, no? Bush beans should be no problem.

9. But plenty of carbon!
In the midst of heavily-trafficked streets.
