What a long, crappy Winter! I never thought it would end. I didn't want to come here before now because it depressed me. I can finally see my garden with the snow almost gone. It is calling to me. I was going to buy a tiller but read the no-till gardening articles and posts and I think I'll try this year without it and use mulch for the weeds. I ordered from Renee's Garden. Those round cucks and carrots, beans, squash, brocholli, toms, spinach... There is so much tree damage up here after the December ice storm. It has been hidden under the snow until now. Very sad. I've lost many of my beautiful white birches. But...life begins again!

2. Ice storms really take their toll.
We have had 3 since 2000. They have taken out all the soft woods such as cottonwoods and pine. I will never grow another pine. They were the first to crack and break.
