I did a horrible thing and that it will destroy all the good nutrients in the soil. This stuff has the tiny holes to let the water through and I'll cut out patches for my veggies. What have I done wrong?

1. years of experience in the biz and a 4 year degree
weed barriers are junk .... plastic = stops O 2 and water exchange in soil

fabric that lets water and O 2 in and out ...... grasses will cut through the material ...
and weed seeds germinate in the soil / mulch above the fabric

soil / plants = a living membrane

nothing beats a hoe .... quick and easy & it helps w/ soil structure too.

2. So far our weed barrier is doing a terrific job
of keeping Bermuda grass out of the square foot gardens. I'm guessing that it will also do well with morning glories too.

3. I second that! Working with a hoe is what gardening is all about.
