Updated garden pics:
The garlic harvest. Need to plant more than this in the fall.

The grass around the boxes had gotten as much rain as the veggies and was out of control so Bill went in with the weedeater today and I followed with cardboard. I need to finish it up tomorrow.:

It's been a long hot day with much accomplished. Time for a shower and bed. :hi:

2. Thanx.
It's mostly my husband who's done the lion's share of the work out there. It gets a little easier every year.

This is the harvest from this morning alone. Still lots yet to come.

3. Great photos again.
I love those bean trellises.
They add a creative touch.
What are they?

We are pulling garlic too.
It did well this year.
We haven't even tried potatoes yet.

You must be getting our rain because we haven't had any since mid-May, and there is nothing in the forecast....a real change from early Spring when we got drowned.
Your yard looks green and healthy.
Ours if getting brown and crunchy.
Thankfully, we have a good well, and have managed to keep the veggies watered.
We're even watering a couple of patches of clover for the Bees.

Our wild Blackberries are turning ripe too, but they are suffering some from lack of rain....not as plump and juicy as they should be, but still very tart and tasty. WE may try to preserve some if we can find time to get out in the heat and pick enough.

Always good to see your photos.
I'm getting ready to post some of ours.

I got your E-Mail, but haven't had time to respond.

Bob

4. Hiya, B!

We got lots of rain week before last but nothing since. We have two fifty gallon barrels we put on a down spout system on the hen house but it's about used up, too, and it's pretty dang hot here right now.

The bean trellises were a room divider I got cheap off craigslist and had Bill take apart for me. I screwed and wired them into the sides of the box. The old rusty patio chimney was in someone's driveway out here with a bunch of stuff it was apparent was meant for the trash. We stopped one day after I'd been seeing it there for a couple of days or so and asked if we could buy it. She gave it to us. Next year I'm going to fill it with compost and plant a sweet potato vine. I think it would look wonderful with those bright green leaves cascading out of the top.

I know about time, believe me. We've worked our butts off around here the past two weeks or so. But it's been really great.

I'm just glad you and Starkraven are okay over there. I'm looking forward to seeing more pics of your garden, as well. Or am I?

My best to you both. :hi:
