1. Yep. Heard that call this morning....
..as I was letting the chickens out of their coop and checking the veggie garden.
It said,
"You better get busy splitting firewood if you want to stay warm this Winter."

2. I hear from folks around the country -- all directions
and they are all saying that, in their view, Winter is coming on early and it feels like it will come on strong. We shall see...

In any event, always a good idea to be thinking about Spring planting in the Autumn...

3. This storm we're having in California has been fairly gnarly
It's a typhoon and not a winter storm, but it's still getting everyone into winter mode.
