Solaris Self Propelled Cordless Mower, anyone?
Hi all. We need a new lawn mower and this battery powered design sounds great. The electric motor means no local pollution and less noise. I used to own a corded push mower and it was much quieter than any gasoline mower. It is 100 pounds, but there are some key-start gasoline mowers that weigh almost 90 pounds.

Does anybody have any real life experience with a battery-powered motor that they would like to share?

Replacement batteries are $99/pair, but it is likely that I could find something cheaper. It has a "smart charger", so it does not over-charge the battery and "boil out" the battery electrolyte.
