Something new to grow in the garden next year.

I was at a friend's house the other day and we were in her dad's garden next door to her. I tried French Sorrel for the first time, straight out of the garden. What a lovely flavor to add to fresh salads! It has a really nice tangy flavor in the end, not bitter. I absolutely loved it and was given some of the leaves to bring home.

Seems very prolific, too. This isn't a pic of the one in their garden but it looks very similar.

1. Is it an annual like lettuce? I'll definitely check it out.

2. From what I've looked at on-line,

it seems to be a perennial. It is very delicious and supposed to be high in vitamin C. It is technically an herb.

3. Ohhhhhhh Yeah....

Looks wonderful! Hopefully I will have my garden ready to plant some in the spring. A little like arugula, eh? I will be planning on a little of both for the spring.
