Anybody else refrigerate your bulbs before planting?
Here in East Texas we've had freezing weather all week. I have my bulbs on the patio in their mesh sacks. We put plants and a space heater out there. If it's freezing outside, the space heater keeps the room at about 45 degrees so I figure that's good.

Any opinions?

1. That sounds about right.
Isn't it standard operating procedure to precool bulbs in the refrigerator in the South, anyway?

You can also buy precooled bulbs for forcing, hyacinths for sure, and I believe sometimes narcissus and tulips as well.

Should work.

2. I put them in their planters and put them in the back of my frig for a few. They
start to sprout and out they come.
