I was just thinking about last year. Spring arrived, the weather was warm... and then we had a frost in May.

I think I may have PGTSD: Post-Garden-Trauma Stress Disorder. I'm having a hard time getting excited about planting and seem to be focused on all the crazy weather that plagued me last year.

Hoping my first glimpse of a tomato seedling will snap me out of it. :)

2. Hope you feel better soon. Try putting Walls O Water or something equivalent

around your tomato plants if you anticipate cold weather. Used them in Oregon a lot.
Or you can devise your own by putting a clear garbage sack over the tomato cage, etc. I have been
planting an heirloom called "Stupice" and it is quite cold tolerant. Early producer, small tomato but
quite tasty. Love the name of your disorder: PGTSD. Your creation?....z

3. Yes, I am the originator of PGTSD. Should I copyright it before

the growing season really gets going? ;)

Fortunately, I had a lot of things in containers and so could haul them indoors for the frosts, but this was quite a pain in the butt. Having growing things on every floor and flat surface in our tiny house overnight was fun the first time ("we live in jungle!") but it got old quick.

Have heard good things about Stupice before and will definitely put it on my list for this year!
