Bill didn't plant much so we'll only get about a dozen ears total, but next year...!

Luckily we have had access to some of the sweetest most tender corn I've ever eaten anywhere at our local farmer's market.

I need to re-plan things but really want to plant corn next year. I believe I need to re-think the square foot plan that I have now. Already put up 12 quarts of tomatoes though...which was a really, really feel good feeling to do this year. How are you? Probably as busy, busy as I am these days. I added 3 Nubian goats to my animal collection earlier this summer. They are ever amusing. Hens ( all named Rhosie because I cannot tell them apart) and a rooster named Roofus are all doing well. I would like to let them free range, but don't feel brave enough to try it yet. All is well, but lots of work being an old granny farmer on my own. I tell folks that I am the farmer, the farmer's wife and all the farm hands...and there is a lot of work for all of us.
