1. thanks! the info on blueberries will help me
" four sheets of newspaper in between the bushes, wet them down, sprinkled some sulfate all around to acidify the soil, then added compost to feed our stressed plants. Now all I need to do is add a layer of pine needles gathered from the woods to cover the compost with an acidic mulch."

Mine are suffering too. I got a few handfuls off 3 (3 yr old) bushes this year. :(

2. We use this...works well.
On a rotating basis, we put some of our raised beds to sleep in the Winter by adding compost, covering them with Newspaper, and then mulch. We are careful to remove all of the glossy, painted inserts between the pages.
In the Spring, we simply poke/tear holes in the newspaper, and plant through the holes.
