Why don't my two peace lilies, which are kept next to windows, watered regularly, and their

leaves sprayed weekly with a water bottle, hardly ever have any blooms? Other than that, they look healthy.

I know amaryllis aren't peace lilies, but I had some outside when I lived in CA (never got them to bloom inside), and blooming inside depending on spring fertilizing.

2. we've found that they bloom best when they get really pot bound...

kind of a mystery flower to us - rare in how much like they like wet feet!

4. You can transplant to a smaller pot - make sure they are tightly packed....

May want to do more research first - mine is just a one point observation/experience! I major in tomatoes...but barely minor in house plants!

5. I had one for years that didn't bloom.

One day the cat knocked it over and I had to repot it. I put it in a similarly sized pot and it just went berserk blooming after that. I have no idea why. :shrug: Not saying you should knock yours over. :)

It gets some diffused light from a curtained window opposite it. I've always been told that peace lilies prefer indirect light vs. direct.
It is in a relatively small pot for its size and it blooms regularly.

8. Spathiphyllum (Peace Lillies)

Don't mind having wet feet, and don't mind low light. Keeping that in mind, I don't keep them constantly wet. However..the more light you give most any plant, the better. When they put up blossoms, cut off the spathe. Makes the blossoms last much longer, and prevents the plant from going into reproductive(vs. flowering)mode. When the white "shields" fade, cut their stems off really low. Cutting off the spathe makes the plant think..."oh no, I'm going to die..I must send up more blossoms!" LOL!
