NJCher, I keep thinking about all those bulbs
you planted; please let us know when you post pics of them (if you don't do it here).
I'm getting pleasure (in TX) watching my piddly amount grow, and cannot imagine
planting 100s of them! I keep thinking of all those bulbs, and property!
I would love to see the end results of your endeavors.

5. more: pansies and columbine
OK, these aren't bulbs but I did put them in last fall. I put in maybe 20 pansies from 8-inch pots and the same number of columbine:

Here's what I learned about pansies. Putting them in the fall before yields way more pansies. The downside is it takes awhile for the green to look attractive but all of a sudden, one day the green can barely be seen because the plant is covered with flowers In the pics above, the pansies are white. There are also some purple ones in the second pic.

6. And your pansies are just blooming? I only bought one plant this
year, and in TX it's already on the way out. Enjoy the beauty that surrounds you!

7. Wow, nice garden Cher!
I bought some mini daffy's and 3 hyacinth plants this year. Now what? They're in pots - should I cut the dead flowers and leaves off and plant the bulbs now or wait until fall? Yep, I'm a 'doh' kinda gardener.

8. LOL, hello my fellow Jerseyan
Don't cut the leaves off because the flowers need it to get food from the sun for the following year. So plant them with the leaves about 8" down and you might have some nice flowers next year. I say "might" 'cuz hyacinths can be a little iffy.
