How about transplanting raspberry Plant |
I have Googled for an hour and can't find an answer. I have 6 red raspberry plants that have grown great and spread. A friend wanted some sprigs to transplant. I dug out a couple of newly formed volunteer plants and put them in a containers with potting soil and dirt. They died almost immediately. Anybody have any experience with them? Any help would be appreciated.

2. I've transplanted raspberries like this |
in fact a friend dug out a few of hers for me last year just like you described and they lived just fine. They're forming berries right now.
I'm guessing there was some other factor involved in the death of your plants. Did the plants dry out too much? Did you keep enough of the root ball intact?

4. I did that with blackberries. The tops died, but I kept watering them |
and they sprouted back up in a couple of weeks.
