I have to move my cuttings. 24 hours out of water, how Ollie How??

I have several ivy and philodrendran cuttings that have been happily living in water for months so they have large root systems.

I am moving 700 miles and the cuttings will be out of water that long. I have towels and ziplock baggies but wondering if you DU gardeners have any ideas of an easy non messy way of helping my beauties make the move.

1. The pond plants I ordered online arrived

healthy and happy in soaked newspaper and grocery store type plastic bags. They were shipped from Ohio to Texas 2 day FedX. Not one plant was lost.

3. AZ, Girl--

Just use SUPERSATURATED oasis with a WEAK B12 solution in plastic bags, for the root systems and keep the plants out os direct sunlight during the trip to the new place. They should be okay. I've used this method with plants I've sent with my grandma when she returned to Tulsa from California, (I know, I know, I shouldn't have done that but it was Grandma!) and guess what?? They not only survived but THRIVED!!!

6. I trade plants all the time

with other gardeners in an online swap.

I wrap the roots with a damp paper towel & then plastic wrap over the towel. Make the plastic fit tight enough to "seal" the paper towel so it holds the moisture in. Don't let the plastic wrap touch any leaves, then wrap the entire thing in damp newspaper.

I got some salvia & daylilies today in the mail that spent the long weekend in transit from Florida to Oklahoma. They were shipped like I described above & arrived in great shape.
