Should I cut the flowers off my spaghetti squash (the leaves are yellow)
Hi all. There seems to be a signal that my winter squash is "playing out". I imagine that if I cut the flowers off, the plant would concentrate all metabolic functions on ripening the fruits instead of trying to develop new ones.

We had a wet, clammy June here in Northern Ohio, but July was warm and had enough rain to make the garden super productive. The broccoli is mature, sprouts are producing, and the cauliflower is just about ready.

1. Squash Blossom Soup
Saute flowers and onions in olive oil
Add parsley and/or other herbs
Add chicken stock
You can also add other veggies such as zucchinis, corn, tomatoes, etc.
Rice is nice also.
You can also blend it at any point and add an appropriate cheese at end.
