I'm looking for catalogues for organic seed, and or plants.
I'm gardening for my third year, and want to try and sprout some seeds. Thanks.

6. I just got an order from Territorial Seeds--great company.
They have a great catalog that's a wonderful reference.

These are great, too:

John Scheepers Kitchen Garden seeds - www.kitchengardenseeds.com

Bountiful Garden - www.bountifulgardens.org

Nichols Garden Nursery - www.nicholsgardennursery.com

Nichols's owner, Rose Marie Nichols McGee, has written a great book with Maggie Stuckey, "The Bountiful Container," about growing all kinds of things in containers. It's an excellent book, even if you have a "real" garden, and it's available at her website as well as in bokstores.

Enjoy!

7. Johnny's Selected Seeds has many organics.
They have very good descriptions of the plants and how to grow them from germination on. They carry many heirloom and open-pollinated varieties too.

I'm also a fan of Territorial for live plants.

8. A couple I've used before...
http://www.seedsavers.org
They have a nice online PDF catalog if you want to browse.

Also try here:
http://www.southernexposure.com/index.html
They focus more on heirloom plants native to the southeastern US, but I have grown varietals from them that turn out fine - and I'm in the North. Not sure how much organic they have, to be honest, but you could still check them out.

Have fun with your search - and I think you will enjoy working from seeds, especially organics or heirlooms.
