all those vines? I have layers of 'em, and the ones closest to the fence are dead. Do you trim them all the way down close to the ground and let them start over (which would be my preference)? Any tips out there in DU land? Thanks!

1. I got 2 little red ones last winter - off the markdown table at Lowes |

planted them promptly - they looked dead last week now this week they are a foot tall. didn't trim them back. I think The usual rule of thumb is - only trim one third on summer bloomers - on spring bloomers only trim in the fall if necessary. Or at least that's the way I usually do it. by the way, I got 12 gerbera daisies yesterday in 4 inch pots for 25 cents each at Lowes markdown rack. ( my favorite rack ) woohoo!!!!!
