Hypericum question
My second season Hypericums have a lot of long stems. They are blooming now and are supposed to bloom all summer. I would like to prune them to get bushier plants. If I cut them back, will the new growth produce flowers this season?

2. They bloom on the current season's wood
So I'm not so sure they'd bloom more this year, although it should make them bushier. I've included a link to my extension dept., but I would suggest that you look up the cultural requirements of your own local Extension Agency. I live in VA & it may be a different zone. Good Luck!
