Our county recycling center also does compost
from the yard and lawn waste they pick up. I thought it might be a good idea to support them in this effort and checked on the price.

WHOA...great compost at $10/TON. What can I do with a ton of compost? So many ideas, so little space.

1. What a deal. Ours sells 2 large bags for that price.
I know what I'd do with a ton of compost ---amend 1/8 acre of solid clay and plant more perennials.

2. you can do so much with compost
Lawn:

We are coming up on the best season to mess with your lawn the natural way..

1. Thatch the lawn
2. Aereate it...
3. Spread that compost all over your areated thatched lawn and then seed it...

your existing grass will get a boost and the superseeding will help block out weeds...

Compost your flower beds and veggie beds....

Mr. B and I walk around...he digs up some soil..we break it up and we use the compost as mulch...
