Bats!
I'm not sure if this is the board to post this but figured you guys would know...

I have a bat and it's right on the front porch, it hits guests in the head. I know they are beneficial creatures but my guests aren't too happy with the critter. It's in a metal wall hanging on the side wall of porch right by the front door. If I buy or make a bat house will it move there if it's nearby? Should I cover up the wall hanging he's using for his house so he will find somewhere else, any foods that will entice him to it? I don't want to hurt it but just get it to move.

2. Perfect!
I knew someone here would know.

It's getting much cooler now so I probably won't need to do anything.

4. I could use a few bats.
I rarely see them, and there are oodles of mosquitoes if they would just come by for a visit.

3. you are so lucky
and hey, you have the perfect prop for that Halloween party. Seriously, people will put up a bat house and have a hard time getting them to move in. Good luck! I have fond memories of the bat on my weeklong rafting trip down the Grand Canyon. During the day, the birds would swoop over the river to eat bugs all day long. Come night, it was like the changing of the guards- the birds would go away and in would come the bats.

5. Get rid of the bat.
Move the wall hanging, screen the porch, anything.

Bats can be rabid.

Virtually all the deaths from rabies in the US in the last 20 years were from bats.

Do it today.

6. yep, time to say bye-bye to your little friend.

Rabies shots are no fun.
I had a friend that picked up what she thought was a
hurt baby bird, turned out it was a bat.

Had to get the shots.......
