I am officially freaking out
This winter is NEVER GOING TO END. x(

I've applied for, paid for, and one assumes received a 25x25 garden plot from the city's Urban Agriculture program...but as it's still regularly below freezing at night they've not tilled or opened them up for planting. I've started my cool crop seeds inside, but I really don't have room to do even 1/3 of what needs to be done already.

I just need reassurance that this damn weather will, at some point, break and that all my planning thus far hasn't been for naught.

4. I lost a little wind too
It's freaking 34 degrees and was snowing earlier.

Glad I waited though. I keep hearing war stories about starting too soon.

5. Seeds are cheap and you're havin' fun.
Personally I don't think you can begin too early, and I've lost a ton of plants to prove it.

7. Interesting graphic for April-May-June for temp and precip predictions
Found it cruising National Weather Service website. Last night's snow here in the Pacific Northwet has melted but I don't think I'll plant quite yet.

8. my "cold tolerant" plants are doing fine - even with these late frosts
we are in the Willamette valley, Oregon and we've had some very late frosts.
I planted Swiss Chard, beets, Chinese cabbage, Snow peas, Celery, lettuce, Radicchio, and onions in late March. I cover them with plastic, old sheets, whatever I can find when I know that the temps are close to freezing but so far, they are doing great! My Italian Parsley seems to love the cooler weather and the Greek Oregano looks very healthy so far too.

Caveat here; the next 4 days, we might get snow, and it might freeze (again) so this will be the ultimate test for those growies.
All my tomatoes, sunflower seeds, Basil plants are in a new $90 mini greenhouse I bought 2 weeks ago. One 60 watt light bulb and a couple of CFL bulbs are sufficient so far to keep it warm enough in there for them to continue to grow.
Gotta say, this has been one tough Spring for us gardening folks!
