I've got tomatoes (Roma and Sweet Millions) and sweet bell peppers (red, yellow, and purple) planted in plastic bukkits buckets on my back patio. I drilled holes in the bottom of the buckets and used some dry grass clippings as mulch* in the bottom, then put good topsoil into them. Added about a half handful of epsom salt into each one and mixed it in well, then planted the veggies with a good dose of fish emulsion.
Then it rained. And rained...and rained. For almost a week now, but the last two days it's been on and off with some sunshine.
My plants aren't dead, but they aren't really growing either. They seem to be sturdy enough, not yellowing, but they're just sitting there. They are placed where they will receive full sun.
Is there anything I can do, or do I just have to wait until the sun comes out? Everything else except the tomatoes and peppers is growing like crazy.
*Thank you, whoever suggested the mulch in the bottom of the pots. :pals: Used that on my porch flowers as well and they're blooming beautifully!
