Garden pix - dialup warning
Edited on Tue Jun-03-08 07:14 PM by EstimatedProphet
And garden produce too...

These are my herbs, in containers. The big frilly thing is French Sorrel. Next to it is Savory.

More herbs: Dill, Chives, Chervil, and a couple pumpkin vines.

2 varieties of young corn, which I desperately need to weed out.

California Wonder and Marconi Red peppers. Inside the fence are my beans.

Peas and pole beans twining in the fence. The poles in the back I am going to use to train zucchini.

My peas are blooming!

My cole crops - cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and Romanesco broccoli.

Spuds that need more mulch. Against the stakes are yellow squash.

Lots and lots of tomatoes and peppers. I have Big Red, Beefsteak, and Roma tomatoes, and Hungarian Wax, Poblano, Tabasco, Jalapeno, Cubanelle, Anaheim, and Habanero peppers.

I made a cauliflower!

And another cauliflower!

And a broccoli!

My spinach was delicious!

So were my radishes!

1. Very beautiful!
You're a very ambitious gardener with all of that!

It's such a wonder/beauty/anticipation watching it all grow & happen. All of us gardeners (or gardener wannebe's (like me) feel that "thrill"...and it truly is a thrill.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful garden pics. Good thing it's difficult to get phat from eating an abundance of vegetables, because you're gonna have a bumper crop there! ;-)

Peace,
M_Y_H

2. I've already gotten fat. I need a vegetable that will burn off calories by eating it
Preferably one that tastes like barbecued ribs.

6. Very, very nice.
May I share some of mine?

Before.

After. (It's true, I'm currently unemployed, and have no life.)

First summer squash.

Another view.

Cherry tomato bush.

First tomatoes.

If it works, this will be my tomato tree.

Big tree branch, tiny Early Girl.

And my cucumbers.

Have to say, first garden ever, er, of a legal kind, and I'm having the time of my life. All ready, we've had some black berries, and by tomorrow morning, I should be picking my first squash. Wish I would have started this years ago. Perfect cure for when your candidate drops out in Jan.

8. Thanks EP-
I find it to be kind of addictive. Lately there's no place I'd rather be than in my garden.
