I bet it's that damn raccoon. I wonder if hot pepper tea will keep them from eating it?

1. I know your pain
My lettuce crop got devoured by a baby groundhog last Monday.

I highly recommend this stuff, though, as it is organic and it really WORKS:

I bought a big jug and spray it around. You only have to do it about every 30 days as it lasts through the rain. It's made up of peppermint and other strong scents that they don't like.

Now, I don't know if this particular stuff works for racccoons but check their link on the above page because I think they do make various kinds for other critters.

2. Me too!
But whatever got mine just ate all the butternut squash I had put out, left the hubbarb squash and the pumpkin and cucumbers alone. I had a heck of a time getting my butternut squash to grow last year, had to replant three times! And it is my husbands favorite. Must be some creatures favorite too. I just replanted lots of seeds, hope whatever it is will get full soon.
