North Charleston city council yesterday struck down the ordinance against growing food crops on residential property inside city limits. As long as the produce is for personal consumption, there will no longer be a penalty.

So except for the squirrel...who is now bringing family...my veggies are safe and I can use the strip next to the fence to grow others.

3. Yeah, they considered vegetable gardens

to be commercial use of residential property. I had a feeling it was going to fall as the price of groceries goes up. And it did.

5. Hey, some subdivisions here you still can't hang out

laundry. And there are restrictions as to how high your bushes can get so I imagine they'll still have problems with very tall tomatoes.

I believe the laundry restriction will be the next to fall. Even people living in those subdivisions are going to have to make concessions soon to the prices of things. Besides, it isn't like they don't have maids to actually do the work. (And yes, the places I'm talking about are about 90% served by household help at least 3 days a week.)
