Why do my potted nasturtium leaves turn yellow??

Too much water? Too little? Too much sun? Too little?
I see these things growing by the side of the freeway,
for Pete's sake-- what is the problem?

1. If I had to guess - probably too much water.... uh, lovin'....

I think they prefer it a little on the dry and sunny side....

2. Too much fertilizer

Can have the same effect.

3. Thanks for the replies... now, what about Lantana? Mine is in a

container and it's starting to shrivel up!! I thought they
were hearty and drought-tolerant.

I'm a novice green-thumber, in case anyone wondered...

4. hmm, mine is doing well now due to all the rain and less heat

even though it said drought tolerant, it says sun part shade, and usually plants that say that prefer some shade, rather than being blasted in full sun.


I have mine in a medium size pot with another plant and it seems to be doing well now since it's been cooler here in my part of the Northeast.


It may be that too much heat/sunt and not enough water are causing it to shrivel, although I don't know what zone you are in...


If you water in the am and then put it where it will get some shade, it might do better....
