I Get June Tomatoes! (pic)
I've been trying for years to get a June tomato.

These ripened on 6/25. :)

:bounce:

They are pictured on top of some of the red leaf lettuce I grow.

I already made salsa with one of the tomatoes. I'd give it a "B." It was tasty but not exceptional. It was just slightly mealy.

The plant itself seems to be just sitting there, despite its prime spot in the garden. That might be because of the type of tomato it is. The others, in proximity, are thriving with blossoms but no tomatoes yet. I've put composted cow manure on all of them and water them regularly. We've had many hot days that the tomatoes love.

1. Nice!
I've had about a dozen cherry tomatoes so far, but no large ones.

2. Congrats!
Even if the taste got a B, not an A+, at least you know you are eating a tomato that is not full of pesticides and is as fresh as you can possibly get.

4. In NJ? Holy Cow!
My (north) Jersey relatives have only had their plants in the ground for a few weeks.
