I GOT A TOMATO!
My first tomato! It's a Roma of all things, and the rest of the plant isn't near ripe. I intended to leave it on the plant, but it fell off in my hand. It's only half-red, so it will stay on the counter until the weekend probably.

I MADE FOOD!

2. You are a god.
And I understand how you feel. Honestly, what an ego trip. I make dirt from grass and waste. In that dirt, I grow things and help clean the air. I eat those things. So there you have it, we make earth, air and food.

Welcome to the god club. May your reign be long and fruitful.

3. You know it really does blow my mind....
that all the building blocks that came together to grow into that great big corn stalk in my backyard which will hopefully produce ears with sweet and juicy kernels came from 1 seed, dirt, water, and air. It's really amazing!

4. Don't forget the Gardener!
If it weren't for the gardener putting all those things together, and nurturing that seed, you wouldn't have the corn!

6. YAY!
Good for you. My first this year was a Roma too. It was ripe. We picked it, came inside, split it in half and ate it standing in the kitchen. Mmmmmm. Then we had one more, mmmmmm. Now we are waiting. I check twice a day and nothing is even remotely ready but when they come in there will be many and we will make ourselves sick with them.

Isn't it just wonderful? A hard wait for you now just watching it on the counter. :)
